We had a long talk about Mike's blog last night, he really does have quite a knack for writing and I wanted to link you to it so you could get a glimpse. I know I don't always keep up with the blogs but I thought this one on McDonald's and the "new movie" was particulary fun.

Dr. Mike also got interactive with the reviewers as well, nice to see that. Anyway here is something to think about today, Here's the link to the web site, click or cut and paste away and enjoy! http://www.proteinpower.com/drmike/archives/2006/08/appearing_in_th_1.html#comments

YUK! I would not feed this to my dog. Maybe the meat patty and chuck the rest in the garbage.

I worked at Micky D's when I was a teenager. Every manager had a huge girth and I wondered if it was all the grease mixed with the white bread.
My family ate lower carb and we were taught by my mother that white bread was as good as wall paper paste.

An interesting thread. I printed out the three links on Saturated fat and the McD's one to take with me this weekend.
My SIL is very concerned with how much fat most Low Carbers eat and ... we eat some saturated fat as well. :jawDrop: :jawDrop:
She eats 15 grams of fat/day and is quite concerned about Lipid numbers and can't see how we could have improved Lipid profiles. The three linked articles help expalin it and the McD's one is just for dessert.:o

For anyone wanting an interesting take on the Lipid Road Crew you might want to get the short story or download the talking book. Stephen King offers a unique look at the inards of our "Lipid Road Crew", that is not low carb oriented, although donuts are out and exercise is in.
