"There is no comparison between that which is lost by not succeeding and
that which is lost by not trying."

*Francis Baco

Do you sometimes get "depressed if you will" or discouraged about not losing an inch or a pound? Does that tape not move when you measure? Or the dress or pants you were sure would fit by September 1 seem like an impossibility so you are thinking of extending "that goal time" in your mind another 30 days?

And the question that begs to get asked is are you following the program? I don't mean minimally or the zen method but are you actually following through on quality protein and good fats, great sources of veggies and fruits, getting in the fiber and the water and as well the exercise?

Sometimes the scale doesn't move and if you get weighed alot that is a bummer. But asking yourself and truthfully answering the questions above, might give you in indication why it is not. If on the other hand you have done all the things above and still not seeing the movement, then perhaps your goals are not right for you, maybe you need to change up your exercise program a little bit more, if you are more resistance try to add in some cardio, you know what I mean.

If we have done everything we can do and our bodies are not yet reacting, we have done everything we can do. Our metabolism is repairing or changing direction and it will work. But if we havent' done everything we can do and we haven't succeeded in our goals, then well we haven't done it well.

Why does this all come up? hmm well a couple emails from three different people all with the same problem I am thinking, so if there is 3 there might be 33 or 100 people with the same problems. I sure have been there before, thinking I am working the program but whoa nellie NOT!

How about a NEAN day? (Not even a nibble, off program) Have a great one!

Oh Billie, I am definately number 4 on that list. The scale has barely moved!! I know it has only been two weeks and I need to give it more time. I also need to start with the exercise.

Thanks for putting things into perspective.

Until recently - two years; no movement (down).

Thought I was following a decent menu plan; obviously I had let the carb count slip into the danger zone (at least, dangerous for me)

Yeah "carb creep" is bad and we do it so much. Drink that water, eat that protein, monitor the carbs, stay focused.

I agree with you, Billie. I've been neaning for a few days and my cravings are gone again. Why, oh why do I let the little things in life get between me and my program? The best part is not feeling guilty.
