Hey,

I am new to PP and just really getting started. I have the bk PPLP and have read most of it. Very enlightening.

 My question.... do you really take the CoQ10, Selenium, Alpha - Lipolic, Magnesium, Vit E - Mixed??? all individually - and if you do - have you seem any difference?

 2. Are you also taking a multi and Potassium too?

:o I need a little help in this area.

Thank you for your help and response.

I can tell you what I usually do - BTW I'm in my 40s and still have a lot of weight to lose.

I usually take:
Multi
Cal + Mg
Fish Oil
curcumin (just started this for some shoulder inflammation)
sometimes iron - I tend toward iron-def anemia -

and try to eat a variety of nutrient-dense low-carb fruits and veggies like mixed berries nearly every day in my breakfast shake - rather like PaleoPunch from PPLP - I just have it in my shake.

Thank you for your response.

I am trying to figure out where to get my supplements from. I have cked at Walmart - and they do have several what appear to be "good" types - the only thing I can't find is the Magnesium.... the chelated type.

Where do you purchase your supplements from?:)

Health Food Store/Natural Foods store - or online. Whereever I find the best price (incl shipping). For example, the Ca Mg I take is NOW brand with the reverse 1:2 ratio - and it is a mix of oxide & chelates
http://thecatalog.com/1278.html

if you want all chelated - all citrate, all malate, etc.
you could look at the their whole list here:
http://thecatalog.com/minerals-calcium-magnesium.html

and scroll down near the bottom - be sure to check the labels to make sure you figure taking sufficient capsules to make the Mg recommendation - with the chelates the tablet size is not always the dose of Mg you actually get.

I'm not endorsing this brand or this site - but it is commonly stocked and avail all over online.

I get some of my supplements at WalMart (multi, enteric coated fish oil, no-flush niacin), but for magnesium-potassium blend, chlelated magnesium, and CoQ10, I go to vitacost.com since they are cheaper than health food stores in this area. The Walmart CoQ10 is powdered, and Dr. Mike says we need the oil based. I get a good dose of potassium by using Morton's No-Salt -- 610 mg. per 1/4 tsp. or Morton's Lite Salt which is half that. It's easier for me than popping pills.

I take most of what you've listed, except the CoQ10. It amounts to a handful, nightly, with fish oil capsules in the morning with breakfast.

Hi! I am a returning PP way of lifer from a few years ago when I lost and kept off 80 lbs. I took all the suggested supplements and dosages, and honestly never felt better and just NEVER got colds, etc. I credit that to the supplements definitely. I am following the PPLP adjustments now and I have gotten pretty good stuff at iherb.com, as well as Walmart, but I can get the CoQ10 and good magnesium chelates at iherb, and they ship fast. I am getting encouragement at this forum which I desperately need right now, but I know the healthiest, best way of eating for life and fat control is the PP way. Best of luck!!;)
