"Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference."
--Winston Churchill

Attitude check day! What is your attitude? How about a quick honest evaluation of your head this morning, nothing like starting off the month of September with some motivation (and see the September challenge as well)

It's dark and dreary and I would like to stay in bed...Yes or No

I am going to get my protein today Yes or No

I am going to stay away from the carbs, like flours, sugars etc that I know are not good for me and stay with those carbs filled with antioxidants and vitamins Yes or No

I am going to make a plan to get through the day with the best attitude I can, no matter what is in front of me. Yes or No

I am going to exercise Yes or No

You get the idea--we motivate ourselves, no one else can. And starting the day with a positive plan of how to get healthy makes the day work. Sometimes it is as simple as that.

Yes I am gonig to the gym, I am meeting Gabe at 11:45. Yes I am getting in my protein and we have made a pact at home to have no stray or bad carb enticing things to detract from that plan.

Let us know where you are in your motivation today!! Have a great one!

Hi, Billie, great thought for the day.
I am motivated! Back on plan and am ready to lose the weight I re-gained. I have a plan and am sticking to it.
Hugs,
Claudette

Well CLaudette and Missy..what are your plans? without a plan we don't succeed.

here is mine: I got to the gym today, a short amount of time because of meetings, but did out and inner thigh, leg extensions and lifts and 10 minutes on the tread mill.

I had protein for breakfast and will for lunch and have stayed away from anything looking like an "wasted" carb.

Tomorrow more of the same!

Well...my special plan for the day...lol...iiiiiiissss....I'm going to get in the car, and drive to the gym...and sit in the parking lot and THEN DECIDE if I'm going in...and IF I do go in and resume my exercise plan....I might sit on the stationary bike...and I MIGHT PEDDLE. :D

It's all apart of this DEFIANCE plan I got going on. lol

ah Missy - I love your plan. It is right up there with my home gym version - change clothes into workout clothes and at least go sit with the exercise equipment. Or get up early and get on workout clothes - even if you don't actually go out the door for a walk or run.

oops - does saying that I like your plan suddenly make it not worth following through on - if so, I apologise. I hate it, what a stupid plan :D

I know if I mentally plan something and someone else happens to suggest the same thing, I'll NOT do it just to avoid the appearance of doing it based on the suggestion.

Personally Lisa....I LOVE abuse....go on....lol :D

We won't talk about the fact that I OWN a brand new stationary bike that I COULD just use at home....nooooo.....had to "go" to the gym, cause if you do that, it counts. And, I can SAY, even if I just sat in the car today, that I WENT to the gym technically...right?...I mean, I wouldn't be a liar, technically. But, no, I went in. and I sat, ...and I peddled. I peddled for 10 mins...and....I didn't like it....but I did it. AND I even got on the ol Eliptical for all of three minutes...I COULD have gone longer....but, well, why push it, if you know what I mean! I mean, lets not get CRAZY here.

you make me laugh Missy - have you seen the Snapple commercials about changing habits to get in shape? In one, the person goes all the way to the gym door - and then walks on by. In the other, person snaps the recliner upright like he's getting up - and then reclines back.

In the other, person snaps the recliner upright like he's getting up - and then reclines back. ~ why I'd refer to that as a ab lounger! :D

I haven't seen that commercial...but I'll keep my eye's open for it. Now Lisa, don't be expecting me to workout again TOMORROW! I mean, I don't want to "over do it"....gotta rest those muscles from the intense workout of today. I know your following my "plan"...as the fan of it you are. lol But lets not get CRAZY now. lol

yesterday I completed several sets of "looking at the elliptical" in my home gym area. but it was really hot here and no a/c so exercising indoors was not a bonus - it was probably cooler outside after sunset than inside.

we'll see about tonight.
