"There is a time to let things happen and a time to make things
happen."

*Hugh Prather

What time do you have? Are you letting things occur in your life, on this program and then reacting to that or are you taking active steps to making things happen? There's a big difference. We can glide for awhile but at some points in our life we really need to make things happen for us. For some crazy reason losing weight doesn't happen on it's own :)

Is your clock keeping accurate time? Or the hours slow or are they fast? Are you in control of as much in your life as you possible can be? Are you getting in the protein, and the water and the reduced carbs consistently? Lets make time happen today!

Have a great productive and well time spent day everyone!

Today, I'm working at making things happen. Trying to follow Dr. Mike's IF plan, but not entire sure whether I will continue.
Took a day off work - just because.

Went to the gym - not bad, but was sort of hoping for better.
Not sure if the lack of food made a difference, but the pain in my head just didn't seem to want to leave, and felt a bit worse while exercising. Tried the treadmill instead, and my arm was going numb - I am thinking it's my neck - needing chiropractic attention. It's just that VA hasn't sent them approval yet, and I would have to pay (cheapskate that I am when it comes to me - I don't want to do so).

Bought a really nice steak and will probably have it for evening meal - if I can last that long. I'm not exactly hungry, but the pain in my head is not something I enjoy. I'm not even sure eating would overcome it, and I might end up taking pharmacetucials to overcome it, even though I hate doing that, too.

CM, I sure hope you feel better soon! For me, physical discomfort makes me want to find comfort in food, usually carby. When the VA comes through with the paperwork, might it be retroactive to the date you applied and you can turn in the bill to get your money back? Probably not, knowing the government!

Billie, I am usually pro-active, but lately I've been riding a rollercoaster. Sometimes the best I can do is to eat right.

No, I have to pay for whatever treatments till then, as far as I know. I can apply to my own insurance to get 80% (less deductable) back, though.

If I was closer, I'd come over and give you a neck and shoulder rub! ;)

Thank you for that.
The ibuprophen seems to have dulled it somewhat.
Just got back from "walking" the dogs. I put that in quotes, because most people don't jog at that pace - being pulled by two dogs - two strong dogs - makes movement on the "quick" side.
Did 4.2 km in 36 minutes. Not too bad for an old gal, I guess.

Still hanging in there without food. Had about a tsp of butter, though. Am making some herbal tea, and drinking profuse amounts of water . . . and getting my exercise walking down the hall.
