I think I posted this in the wrong forum earlier so here it is again.
Is Dreamfields safe to eat on this diet? I've heard so many people talk about how great it was and how it didn't affect their BS at all, while a couple others had negative comments about it. It would be nice if I could eat it. I really like pasta :)

I've heard pros and cons about it.
Low Carb Luxury did some articles on it a while back. If you search their site, perhaps you'll dig them up for information.
I think I bought some once, and never got brave enough to eat it. I still think of carbs as wicked and evil, I guess (well, the grainy, starchy ones, at least).

I have found a website that sells it I just haven't had the courage to get any. I'm thinking of doing it though, it's supposed to actually taste like pasta. Judy:eek:

Lubalong,
I have been eating Dreamfield's pasta on PP for over a year now.
It tastes great, (just like pasta) and because of the fiber, doesn't affect blood sugar. I use it in recipes and nobody has known the difference.
I orginally purchased it for my father- in -law who is a diabetic and it just worked out well.

I tried a serving and retained water & was craving sugar/starch 2 hrs later, just like if I had eaten regular pasta. The reaction seems to be individual. The fiber is supposed to slow down digestion so it doesn't spike insulin levels, but I think some people (like me) digest it easily. Instead I use cabbage or zucchini cut into appropriate shapes in my former pasta recipes.

Well, my hubby was craving pasta the other day, and we looked for it. The local supermarket used to carry it. Now they don't. Of course, they used to carry Carb Options products too. Controlled carb products are going by the wayside, other than SF candy and "fast food" (like bars and shakes), it seems.
I know diabetics can use it, but many of them still adhere to the "smart carbs" dogma of the Diabetic association.
