Hi Y'all,
I suffered from hypoglycemia for years until I heard about Protein Power from a friend. On October 1, 2001, I said goodbye to low-fat, "healthy" eating and embarked on the protein power way of life. I found instant relief from my daily low blood sugar attacks and also experienced other unanticipated improvements: skin cleared up, digestion improved, etc. I was a regular on this board for a year or two, and then got busy with other things. I'm very happy with the health improvements and plan to continue with protein power for the rest of my life. I have also dabbled in the Primal Diet approach (raw meat and raw dairy).

I'll be moving to Asheville NC soon and was pleased to discover that the former clinic of Dr. Ron Rosedale (former partner with the Eades) is still there --under a new name, Asheville Integrative Medicine-- so I am looking forward to having a protein power family doctor soon!

Happy New Year everyone!
Martha

Hi Martha, are you the one who posted the photo of a baby wearing a ramekin when we were all learning how to properly bake custard a few years back? Good to 'see' you again!

Hi Y'all,
Yes, that was me with the baby pic - you have a great memory! Back then I was doing a lot of recipe exploration. I've never considered myself a good cook so I was thrilled when one of my cake recipes was published in Dana Carpender's 500 More Low Carb Recipes.

Nice to see all of you again!

Has anyone checked out the claim that really raw (never heated) honey does not affect the blood sugar as other carbs do and thus can be eaten without the same ill effects? I find this a very tempting notion to say the least.

Happy New Year!
Martha

Regards,
Martha
