"Who's in control, you or your emotions?"
Meditations for Women

Ouch!! If you are an emotional eater! Ouch if you ever reached for a cookie or potato chip when things were not going you way! Ouch Ouch Ouch!

Kind of puts it in perspective huh, who is in control? Do we eat with our minds? Our tummies, our smell our emotions? I suppose on any given day we can go through all of the different parts. Those of you who do not have issue with emotional eating, I know have other mountains to climb, but emotional eating is pretty tough. But it is also an excuse I find. When I am emotional or stressed I reach for things much to easily, that is also just a darn bad habit and loack of control on my part.

Realizing we are emotional eater (those of us who are) is the first step and then controlling it is next. Exercise and the ghm help me to control it, what are some ways all of you do?

Here's to a controlled eating day!

I have a problem with boredom eating - oooh, I'm bored - I'll have a snack. This is where scheduling comes in very handy. If it's not TIME to eat, then I don't.

That's me, ma'am! Analysis of feelings at the time sometimes helps. I understand that I can train my brain to go to other places for comfort and I'm working on it. Long, slow process. :(

Absolutely NOTHING about me is in control, and that's more than a little bit of my problem. Everyone and everything else is in control, and more often than not I just get caught in the flow.
