I lost 3 the first few days then for the past week crept back up the 3 pounds I lost, I have REALLY bad gas and cannot hav a BM. Is this the wrong diet for me. I ate ex-lax the past 2 days and nothing.
I am light headed at times in the afternoon because I am normally a oatmeal or toast eater for breakfast and I had a regular bowel movement when I ate that every morning. I have to say I want to hold out but I am getting a little down.

First thing to understand--whenever you make a major dietary change you bowels may react for a while. shifting from major carb eating to a protein and fat diet is a MAJOR MAJOR change and it can take a while--six week or more to fully adapt. and that includes your bowels. So less than two weeks is way too soon to know if this is the "wrong " woe ( way of eating) for you.
Personally I have a huge bias--I think this is the right way to eat for human beings period. so NO I don't think this is the wrong diet for you!
Second though, in order to really help we here would need to know alot more about what you ARE eating.
Some things that could be issues--are you eating enough fat, are you getting your omega 3 fatty acids ( cod liver oil or fish oil )
are you dinking enough water? are you eating any Low carb products with sugar alcohols?
fiber is a tricky one --some people have problems with too much --have you added a lot of things that have flax in them for example? --can cause gas and constipation in some people. others have problems if they get too little. How much are you getting? It is such a YMMV thing that you may have to do a bit of detective work to figure it out.
I'm sure others will pipe in as well. don't give up just yet. you won't be sorry!

Before I ever did lc, I would only have a bowel movement maybe 2x a week, never felt constipated, but was gassy, occasionally. DH used to have one daily.
When we first did lc, I had a bowel movement daily and no gas and he went down to 3x a week and feeling constipated.
The main difference, I think, is I ate relatively little fat pre-lc and going lc added in fat.
Cheese does cause constipation in many people, maybe that's part of it?
And water really does help!

I'd try *varying* your diet a bit more...and add MORE low carb vegetables and fruits, maybe reduce the cheese a bit.
I know that if I ate the same exact thing for two meals in one day, I'd probably have some digestive issues, too.
Also, exercise (walking, especially) will help with gas and regularity.
