Saw a page on about.com and carrots are in both low carb and high carb lists. How do they fit in? Or not.

100g carrot, or two smallish (5 1/2"), about 3/4 cup chopped (raw) is about 3.5g, according to the USDA database. Half a cup of boiled carrot slices is about 4g. So there's certainly room to eat some carrots and still control your carbs.

When I eat carrots, I usually do them WITH something else, therefore not having much.
Like as a side I'll have CELERY and carrots - with more celery than carrots.

Or if I'm sauteing veggies, I'll stick a small amount in wth other LC veggies

Or maybe I'll cut a 1/2 carrot into my salad...

Those types of things.
