:slywink: It has been a LONGGGGGGGGGG, LONGGGGGGGGGG, time since I was around here. I think it was the old Pentabosol days.....do they still sell that stuff????

Anyway, my book has went into hiding...(I think in the back of the shed which will take a day or two to sort out) and I need to know how to figure out how much protein I should be taking in per day....cant remember!!!

I am 54 (thats why I cant remember:rolleyes: ), female, 236 lb. with a 40 inch waist. Does all that help? What is the manner in figuring this out. I was told I had a 43% body fat a few months ago....but that might have changed since I put on a few pounds since then.....

Thanks for your help.

Welcome back :). I'm not Gaelen either ;). She does drop in a couple of times most days, so I'm sure she'll be along ....

For 235 lbs, the protein recommendation in PPLP is 34g per meal if you're 5' 4" or less, and 40g per meal if you're taller than that. (That's assuming three meals per day.)

I remember pentabosol - I don't think it's still around, but I don't keep up to date with the supplements the Drs sell, because they don't ship outside the US.

So, that means 120 grams of protein per day.......WOW....for some reason I was thinking around 80???? Its been awhile.

Thanks
