View Full Version : Protein requiement during the day -question

Hi, I would be needing a minimum of 40-43 gms at each meal according to the chart. I eat b'fast very early (around 6 AM ) and then have something at work around 9, lunch by 1 PM and then something in mid aft.
40 at one meal would be alot but how would I really break that up with the snacks? 20 per meal/snack ??

I eat 4-6 meals a day. I have a daily protein requirement of 120-125, which would be consistent with 40-43g/meal.

I try to get at least 25-30g protein in any meal. I might get a little extra with this method, but you are allowed to go over.

The 40ish per meal is based on three meals per day, so think of it as 120ish per day, and divide it between however many meals/snacks you want to take.

One other question-what would be an average calorie intake for someone eating 40 gms per meal plus veggies, etc??

There is no specific calorie target in PP. The number of calories would vary depending on the size of the individual and their activity level. In order to lose weight, you need to eat fewer calories than you're burning, but most people don't actually need to count them - just don't go wild with nuts and cheese :).
