I don't post here very often, but I just stepped of the scale this morning and was bursting with good news. I have been PPing for about a month now. The first ten days was a rough hover over only about 3 pound loss. It was a little disappointing. Today though, after a full 30 days, I have lost 9 pounds and change!!:)
I suppose that is to be expected, since that is the goal of this plan. I get so excited because everyday, I follow the plan and everyday I am sure that I not going to see a loss because I feel full and happy. Then I step on the scale and boom! Another pound bites the dust! I just can't beleive it.
Yesterday I ate out for breakfast (3 eggs, 2 bacon, sausage, and ham), which I couldn't come close to finishing and which lasted until 2pm. Then I had a LC sandwich that was stuffed smoked turkey and proscuitto for lunch. For dinner, my DH and I set up a grill and cooked out korean bbq style with very thin slices of meat. We had a couple of glasses of wine and dessert (a riccota parfait from George Stella's cookbook). I wole up this morning thinking that surely all that indulgence and fullness was not going to put me in a happy place and here I am ecstatic!!
So, the upshot here is that I am very grateful for the work of the Drs. Eades and for everyone on this board and in the LC community. I still get snide somments by my family and a few friends about my eating habits. PP trumps Weight Watcher for me. The same time last year, I had been followin WW religiously and had lost a whopping 4 pounds in the same time.
