I am new to this blog and still relatively new to Protein Power's way. Where is a good place to begin?

Welcome, Feelix :).
Do you have any of the Protein Power books? If you've enjoyed reading the Dr Eadeses' blogs, then I'm sure you'd find them interesting: either Protein Power, or the more recent Protein Power Life Plan. There are also some ideas to get you started, both on the board, and on Protein Power, in the Getting Started section at the top of the board.
If you're looking for general support, you could join in the monthly challenge here, or just join in any threads that look interesting to you. If you have any questions, just ask away.

Thank you.
I have read on this blog about people starting with a detox problem. Which book is that outlined in?

Hi, Feelix.
Typically, Protein Power doesn't start with any special type of detox program.
Most people 'detox' quite effectively by simply increasing their water intake and eliminating carbs in excess of 40 grams from their diets...
You might want to start with the first forums (Getting Started) and read through "Protein Power in a Nutshell" to get the gist of this way of eating. From that point, any of the books will get you headed in the right direction.

thanks! The information was great! So my next question is about carrots....
Is it ok to eat carrots or do they have too much sugar.
My second question is regarding processed meats. Is it ok to eat pepperoni, sandwich meat?
thanks for all the help!
