Just wondering if this WOE will help and how long will it take to begin to see results?

Welcome in, Molly. Which of the Protein Power books do you have and what are your goals for reshaping your body?
You can reduce your overall body fat percentage, but you cannot make 'belly fat' just go away, short of liposuction. You can reduce your BF percentage, and you can work on defining the muscle structure in your abdomen, which will in turn make you look better--but that is something that takes exercise in combination with controlling your carbs.
Jump in, post your menus in the Challenge thread and join in the exercise challenges. And be aware that, as a woman, having a 20-25% body fat percentage if you're under 40 and a 22-28% BF percentage if you're over 40 is not only normal, but a healthy way to maintain a healthy overall body system, including strong bones and muscles. Women who reduce their BF percentage too far have issues with normal hormonal functioning.
