Doesn't happen every night, but periodically, I just have the blahs.

I have something I mean to eat but think "I don't think I can choke that down." And then I mentally go through everything I have and think "blah". Nothing sounds appealing. Buffalo flavoured chicken wings (frozen in a box) come through. I don't feel like I'm eating healthy, I stay within carbs, and I eat something that packs some flavour, all without work.

Hurray for all the stuff that props us up!

Have been on a bit of a hot wing binge lately, as our company cafeteria has been closed for two weeks (new contractor means slow turnover). I think I could probably eat 5 meals a week of the things. And definitely doesn't feel like diet food. No, not at all.

"Wangs" are my favorite protein, most of the time. Like you said, they seem illegal, but they hit the spot. I order them hot (not barbecue) and well-done. If they're slimy with soft skin, I can't get past that. I also buy the frozen ones by the bag; I think they're Tyson.

They're easy to make from scratch, too. I bake the frozen plain wings once, then marinate them in Frank's Hot Sauce, then bake them again. Yummmmmm!

garlic parmesan with a hot sauce kick...now THAT'S what I'm talking about...

A local takeout joint's garlic parmesan hot wings were what got me through chemo. ;)
