I think no one has responded because there is no right answer. Personally I think that the scare tactics that have been used to convince folks that sodium is bad for you are based on the "typical american diet" which is also full of crappy carbs. if you take those out, then look at sodium intake I think that the piture would be very different.
I always make sure my meats are well seasoned, as are my veggies.
Having said that, some folks may have problems with retaining water when they eat highly salted foods, esp things like lunchmeats, bacon, ham, sausage, pork rinds, etc. You may find if you are having trouble losing weight or havin other health problems that limiting these foods will help.

Ditto. Mileage varies considerably. And there's been a lot of demonizing of sodium. Dr. Mike did a piece about MSG a couple of months ago on his blog (proteinpower.com/drmike). Changed my perspective. Though, I will hold some weight for a day or so after a big hot wing feast. But, easy to retain, easy to dump, no biggy.

I've had days where I've not had much sodium, I've had days where I was hurried and ate a lot more processed foods which have more sodium. I've not really noticed much of a difference myself as far as following the plan and weight loss.
