What's in your belly today? So far just vitamins, 2 protein cookies and a Caff-Lib but the day is planned and a major workout in as well. I'm down a pound and will walk 4 km this afternoon with handweights lift/stride on my way home from church.

Today is a makeup day for part of my trip as well so I have to go into work to begin making it up.

Added 2 protein cookies and 6 grapes for lunch.

12 oz. Steak, Brocolli and salad for dinner.

Total: 1928
Fat: 124
Carbs: 46 - 12 = 34
Fiber: 12
Protein: 180

What's in your belly today?
Good morning Sarah and Randy. I had a cold chicken leg (:p) and two cups of coffee earlier. I just accomplished a 20 minute workout with step and hand weights and stretches. I'm working on a ginger-peach protein shake.

My next step will be to paw through my old file cabinet and pull out anything of importance to put into a box. It's mostly instructions and warranties from things we've bought over the years. I know there's a miscellaneous folder and one for old medical tests (I keep them all). Everything else goes into the trash.

Later on, when the sun comes around to the west, I'm going to grab one of my built-in models and try some natural-light portraiture out on the deck to see if I can make something suitable for a high school yearbook (they're really picky). That would save having to move my dining room furniture out of the way next week when I have three young men to photograph. Not to mention using the antique hot lights we have in the basement. I'm NOT a portrait photographer!

Hope everyone's day goes smoothly.

Two meals in my belly so far!
Breakfast, 1.5 pc lc apple cake
brunch, lc potatoe soup, italian sausage

I blew it yesterday, but I have to admit...I wanted to blow it all day long, but waited until supper. I blew it with ONE bowl of tomato soup and ONE (yes ONE) grilled cheese sandwich. Usually when I have this meal I have at least two sandwiches and two bowls of soup, so that's a bonus!
Also, the fact that I waited until supper was amazing...I like to blow it in the am so I can blow it all day...sick, huh? But, after eating my supper I was PRETTY stuffed. I did, after awhile, have 2 pieces of lc cake, but that only added up to 4ECC!! Overall, not too bad.
Scale was WAY LOW this am...so I don't believe it...I'll weigh tomorrow!

Today we're roasting a turkey breast and making a LC stuffing recipe from www.lowcarbluxury.com (http://www.lowcarbluxury.com). Sounds yummy, doesn't it?

Hi everyone, I tried a new breakfast recipe this morning which my dh and I both liked very much. I had printed out the recipe a long time ago and came across it when I cleaned out my desk yesterday !!

I can't recall when or what site I printed it from , but it was called Protmeal and did resemble oatmeal quite a bit. It was good and my whole breakfast , bacon, coffee and cream was only 10 ecc. I just could not face another egg and I think dh feels the same way. It was a coolish morning here so was a nice treat.

Have a yes for the day. Got in extra walking even as I did 30 min. in the am. and 25 this pm. Also did my journal and stayed right on the carbs altho I was worried there for a while. I can't have anything else tonight and we are going over to my dgs to play games. But I can do it.

I have a YES for today.

Karole, that breakfast sounded good to me, too. Sometimes I long for oatmeal!

Amy, way to rein it in! I'm glad you know yourself so well. And I hope your scale's telling the truth! :)

Mikki, tomorrow will be an on-plan day for you. I just feel it!

Hello everyone!

My first NO day in September:mad:.

I had an "off" day yesterday, which, even though I didn't eat anything that after first bite wasn't excellent, and got in an ENORMOUS amount of exercising
between standing at the church, standing for pics, walking in heels, and dancing the whole night (I was so stiff this am I almost couldn't get out of bed and that's with me working out daily - shows you just how much dancing I did)

well, I need to NEAN apparently, because it triggered the cravings and I succumbed. Not horribly, horribly over - Carbs probably at 75
but, I'm struggling now with wanting to eat more.

I'm not going to:slywink:
I'm sore and tired and heading for bed, but it makes me more determined to NEAN from now on.

2 weeks on and nibbling triggers cravings.
so, I will set myself a goal. I don't want to make my next "off plan" date SO FAR away that I feel I'll never get there, but I want to make it sufficiently past 2 weeks that I don't trigger a craving again.

I think I'll aim for 1 month.
I am going to try to remain on plan until 10/15. AND, if I stay on plan until 10/15 and have no desire, I'll increase it in implements of 1 week.
I have nothing major coming up between now and then to "detour" me.

see you tomorrow!

Carol, I am with you on oatmeal. My favorite breakfast was oatmeal, bacon, biscuits dripping with butter and coffee. I even had that for a birthday dinner one year when I was at home. Mom always let us choose our meal for our special day. ( Don't think the rest of the family was that excited about it tho.) The Protmeal today was really fairly good --but no biscuit. Oh well, at least it was a change.

Anniesnan, sounds like you did pretty darn good considering it was your sons wedding and all.

I think nean works pretty well too. I only had one carb left for today and they served nacho cheese dip and chips over at my grandsons tonight, it looked and smelled good but I didn't nibble at all. For one thing I had already reported a yes for today and didn't want to have to change it to a no. That is why I love being a part of this board too--sure keeps you accountable.

Well, take care everyone. Will check things out tomorrow.
