We have two days... Are you still in the running?? Will you win by a nose?

This is a very excellent diet. It is proven to work. There are people on this board like Randy and Max and Amy who have lost alot of weight and have before and after pics. Many people here who have improved their quality of life.
I hope any of you lurkers will feel welcome to join our October challenge and keep on till the end of the year. It's a good way to stay strong through the holidays and stop the yearly winter weight gain. You will look smashing in that New Years outfit ...No need to wait till New Years resolution time. Come on..Join us!

Just two days left but it has been a great month for me.

My wife had saved a fishing vest of mine (loads of pockets and pouches) that I had not worn in years. I thought that it was given away but she got it out for this recent trip. It fit great although it is pretty threadbare.;)

Today is driving out to Perth to test a friend for his pleasure craft operator's license. Later is a grandsons birthday and tomorrow is working makeup time for my canoe trip.

The strip above is one that often carries weight or diet related humor and I thought it might apply.

Randy, doesn't it feel great to fit back into somthing you wore a long time ago? :D:D I have some size 10 jeans that I have had for over 6 years and I can wear them once more. :o But the thing I really love having available to me again, is my black two piece insulated coveralls.:nod:I got them probably 10 years ago, maybe more, but you couldn't tell it cuz I have had very few winters that I have been small enough to get into them. I tried them on yesterday and -----yipeeee. :D:D They will be perfect for the Oct. and Nov. trail rides.

I am going to force myself to exercise as soon as I get off the puter so I can have a yes day again. I just always feel so good when I can exercise in the early morning, and so wiped out by the end of the day. Must be getting old or something... surely not.

By the way, don't all of the smiley's make you wish our Missy would show up in full force again !!

Hawk, it sounds better all the time on your RSD. I sure am glad to hear you are able to do so much more than before the shot. Hope it will last forever.

uggg. I have been on track 23 of 29 days. No cd for me this month but I aim to please in October!!!
Today 1/2 my carbs came from a french loaf soaking in olive oil I picked up in CA. It was the most amazing 3 bits! Who knew oil olive could be considered a treat. I recommend SePay (http://www.sepayoliveoil.com) They have a great reputation for honoring the value of an oil. If you get a chance to visit their store - you can taste 15 different Olive Oils.

Here is to a great successful day!

I made this for supper. OMG! It is wonderful! I will use it for the rest of my life! The seasoning options are endless!

Chicken Pizza Crust
4 cooked chicken breasts (cut up for easier processing)
3 eggs
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
garlic, basil, etc (italian seasonings) that appeal to you
(i use alot of garlic & basil) http://forum.lowcarber.org/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender and puree until you've got a fairly goopy thick liquid.
(I use the blender because I dont own a processer)

Rub a cookie sheet (stoneware is the best) with olive oil (or spray pam on it) and pour mixture into pan spreading so that it's an even thickness.

Bake until light brown & firm ~ 350

Now...two options:
1) add your toppings and bake until cheese looks done for a whole pizza
or
2) slice into squares and top as you need them ~ I usually do this because then you also have the option of using the squares as bread for sandwiches.

Again. I can't believe how wonderful this is. What a great treat! I just had to share.

Even just reading it ... smells delicous. Way to go!

I got a great 90 minute fast paced walk in with a friend this afternoon but I attended a small party this evening and will be 30 ECC over for the day.
Today will be a NO on the Carb count.

Wow, Feelix, that recipe does sound good and sooooo easy. I will be trying this one. Already have it copied on a recipe card. Love pizza and this will be a real treat.

I wonder if you could use the canned chicken or do you need to cook a chicken breast from scratch. Have you any idea?

I bet you could used canned chicken. It becomes dry so I assume it depends on what you like.

Enjoy it! I loved it- I've been eating it like crackers :-)

What great news, Lynn! So, he wasn't really treating you like a girl, but more like an invalid? You show him, but be careful! Great starting post, by the way.

Sarah, that is the most interesting recipe I've seen in a long time. I can think of quite a few things to do with that basic chicken crust. Off to the meat market!

Yesterday was a road trip and I'm officially taking a NO. Everything would have been fine except a road snack (commercial) that was nuts and dried fruit. I was not honest with myself and didn't check the carb count until I had eaten most of it. It's almost like I have a death wish. I know better, but I've got this gollum-like side of me. Remember Lord of the Rings? I used to call it the sleeping tiger, but now I think gollum.

I woke up this morning feeling fat and ugly, so I've already had my walk, my stretches and two cups of coffee. Today's going to be a good day.

Saturday was a no for me. I didn't plan and had no lunch (again) and ended up eating something I didn't want (and didn't even enjoy) at dinner at my m-i-l.

On the good side - I did have one peach and it was delicious. Glad I waited so many days to eat it.

And, had fun with my Annie - always lots of moving around when she's around:D
