If you want to keep yourself accountable; look for feedback on your menu; get or share good menu ideas... this is the place.
I'm in maintenance, but I still want to document my food...
Thanks Mitra for making the monthly menu thread!
Br: 3 eggs, 2 slices LC toast, 1c milk
L: 1/3lb meatloaf, veggie slaw
su: 10 thin slices salami, cup of soup-chix with mini noodles
sn: shake (if needed)
Pro: 129
ecc: 80 (-would like to keep this at no more than 65-70, but I'm still learning how to allow myself carbs without going overboard. Most of my carbs were with breakfast, so I'm kind of screwed at this point. The soup has 9, and the slaw has 5)
The bread is pretty much gone, so that won't be an issue-and the milk was a treat that we had in the house, and should be gone soon. Therefore back to meat and eggs with a 1/2 fruit for breakfast.

Hi, Mitra, thanks for making the monthly menu thread.
I am still losing, so I still need daily accountability. I tend to drift into carbland when I don't consistanly post.
Now that all the moving is over, I will have time to post, which for me, I need to do to stay on track.

I have no idea what I'm going to eating -- still traveling. But I'm starting with a can of protein pudding (20 g pro, 1 carb) mixed with a few almonds. For the next two meals, they will be a protein and a veg. Then for a snack... more protein. Weird when you're not at home or even in your own city and trying to plan menus. I guess it's complicated today by joining my friends who will figure into the eating mix. One thing I do know... wherever we go to eat, I will stick to my plan.
Have a good day!

I'm feeling a little "digestively congested" :paranoid::eek::frown: so I'm going to do almost a "liquid" diet today.
I'm going to drink shakes and push LOTS of water...see if that helps.
7am Coffee shake
10:15 lemonade shake, 8 slices hard salami (need the fat and calories)
12:45 2eggs with cheese and turkey bacon, small apple
3:15 decaf coffee shake, 8 slices hard salami
6:30 creamsicle shake, 2 bran crackers, 2 laughing cow cheese
Pro: 150

Cal: 1672
This is the last of the salami. It's good, but I think it's too much fat on days I'm not doing shakes (which have no fat).
Hmmm...I am hungry.
If I do decide to add some food tonight, it will be less than 10 carbs...Mostly protein, although I shouldn't need any more than I planned!!
I'm busy tonight, so hopefully I can ignore my hunger and just stick to my planned menu.

Your Protein, carbs, and fat ranges and ratio's look good, so I wouldn't worry about the calories at this point. But that's my opinion.
oceanblueLA
10-19-2007, 10:13 AM
I agree with Amy... I wouldn't worry too much about the calories. At least at this point. But if you find that you are consistently eating too few or too many, then you need to start keeping your eye on that total. Too little or too many on an everyday basis isn't optimal and could become a stumbling block to steady consistent loss. My problem is when I don't keep a ballpark figure for my calories and keep them within a range, I begin to get fuzzy with my counts in other areas. Like a few too many carbs. Or not enough protein. But only because I have gotten out of the discipline of accounting for what I am eating. At the beginning, it's a lot to coordinate and so doing a calorie count in addition to all the other counts can be a bit much. But as you continue the program and find yourself more familiar with the practice of counting, you might want to add calorie count to the your program. Or not. Just my thoughts.
Glad you are here and good luck!
Blue
Yep, Blue...
Currenly I have found that if my calories get to low, I stop losing.
Therefore I have added more meat (and more fat) than the minimum I was given, but this has happened after being on PP for YEARS...
Right now, go with the flow and see how your body reacts.
