Here we are at the beginning of the second week of the October challenge. Time flies when you're having fun :D!

Nothing inspiring to say today - just that I know today is going to be a 'yes' day. Only I can make that happen - and that's just what I'm going to do :).

Have a happy - and successful - Sunday, everyone!

Good morning, Lita, and everyone who makes it here today.

Grandson on the way, so my peace and quiet is going to fly. DH just left to go to the rifle range. I have several tasks that I didn't get done yesterday. I'm just savoring my coffee and the light streaming in the windows.

Today will be a NO. My first and likely my only this month. A little short on the IF window (travelling, card games into the night, and restricted food choices) but am doing great and got in a two mile brisk walk this morning along with 50 situps.

This afternoon is driving back to Ottawa with some great tunes.

Hi All,

I haven't been online, but I have been behaving except for the amount of exercise that I haven't been getting. I had to work yesterday, and the library started its Sunday hours today so guess where I am. Yes, I am at work. Not particularly happy about it, but at least I will have finished with Sunday hours until November. I am only required to work 1 Sunday a month and I'm getting it out of the way.

Hi, Y'all,
Today will be a yes for me.

Still unpacking, etc, but it is shaping up. (This is for you, Shadow) I found my mini-trampoline, which I am going to bring in to use. I used to love to "run" on it. I felt like I got a great workout and it was easy on the knees.

Will have an hour at classical voice this evening, which is work. My teacher shows no mercy.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Also, found some food diaries from the last 2 years, so I have updated my ticker to reflect where I originally started from.

Just a quick "Yes" before I go to bed. Finished all of my goals and now I should be able to sleep like a log--only not for enough hours. I think I need to add going to bed an hour earlier to my goals.

Have a great day tomorrow everyone.

Has anyone gone through self sabotage day in and day out? beside the pull up your bootstraps talk - does anyone have any ideas on redirecting myself?

I appreciate your help as I face the life of a PP member. Going Cold Turkey is extremely difficult for me....

Yes, certainly, Sarah. It's not always about the food and sometimes it's a journey just to find out why we do it. It might be supressed anger, self-esteem issues, depression, fear of success, at least in my life. At the very least, it's soothing comfort (for a fleeting moment) when I've had a busy day, but the frustration it leaves behind isn't worth it. I simply have to find something else to fill the gap and there are lots to choose from.

Gaelen's got a series of Emotional Eating 101 articles in the Important Links and Resources section that I found enlightening.

I'll end the day today with a big YES, thank you very much! :)

Great job on all those yes answers :D! Add me to the list :).

Bonnie - Great to "see" you!!!

Randy - Just 'cause we love ya, we'll let you slide by with one no this month ;).

Sarah - I think we've all sabotaged ourselves at one time or another. Hopefully you'll find what works for you to get on plan and stay there. I think it's easier to stay on plan if you truly believe in it and what it's about. But until you get to that point, sometimes you just have to punt ;).

Hello--

Sunday was a yes -- if you'll overlook me not checking in because I got home from the airport late and exhausted. I stuck to my plan the entire four days I was gone and can't believe how good that made me feel.

YES for me. Thanks!

Sarah, I used to president of the sabatour's club untill recently.

I found that when I ate off plan, for whatever reason, (mine were frustration, anxiety, worry) it felt good, but only for a little while, then when I got on the scales and it would read an increase, I'd be really down.

Like Shadow has said, you have to truly believe in the PP plan and how it is going to work for you. Untill I could really say that and mean it, like she said, also, I just had to punt. My punting would be exercise or if at work, I would remove myself from the situation untill I had control.

Reading those articles Gitfiddle suggested is a good start.

Best wishes,
Claudette
