The "Other 20%" is an idea from the book Protein Power Lifeplan: "A lifestyle program that maximises physical health but ignores mental, spiritual and emotional health is half a program. If we are truly born to be well, that must mean well in all senses - physically, mentally and spiritually well. Just as sloth, gluttony and abuse can destroy the physical wellness that is our genetic birthright, so, too, can nutritional abuse, mental laziness, and taking the path of least resistance dull and age our minds."

You don't need to have reached your weight and health goals to work on these areas, but it's a good idea to wait until you have a fairly good handle on the nutritional aspects before adding in all these extras.

We're focussing here on all those things that contribute to mental, emotional and spiritual good health: rest, relaxation, meditation and new learning - whether it's music, a new language, or a new physical skill, like dancing.

This is the place to talk about developing all those things that keep your mind and spirit young and agile.
