In a sense, every day is Judgment Day, and we, through our deeds and words, our silence and speech, are constantly writing in the Book of Life.
So, what are you writing today? If, when it's all done, the afterlife decision process is like Albert Brooks' vision in Defending Your Life, how will you defend this day? Will it be part of the defense or the prosecution? Will it be grounds for advancement? How will you make it the best day you can?
For my part, I lifted weights today. I'm cutting my writing short today, so I can spend my best hours on a dopey work project. I'm going to pitch teleworking to my supervisor, so they can have the cubicle back. I'm going to adjust my voicemail so I never get a call for Elizabeth "B" Way again. I'm going to order fancy cat food. I'm going to look into products I might sell. And I'm going to investigate whether I can get a government discount on travel that is personal (you have no idea... if I can, a $300/night room in Curacao is mine for <$170). I'm not going to worry about what cannot be done, but really focus on what I'm actually doing. And at this point, I'm writing longer than I wanted to, so I'm gonna cut it short and start the Users thread and get going on the rest of this stuff.
Don't Rock On. ROCK OUT as if everything hung in the balance.
ROCK OUT!

Morning, Max! Today I plan on writing a positive, successful day into my Book of Life :)!
Exercise done, most my water down, mind doubly challenged this morning, and meals planned for the day. Not too shabby for a Monday ;)!
I have "written down" my menu. I can't believe how important that step is to me.
I don't do it on the weekends because I'm usually so busy I don't even go on line, but I SHOULD.
I do have a magnetic food board at home, and I have foods listed on little magnets. On Sunday (usually) I plan the weeks menu's by putting the foods I'm going to eat on the weekly food board and then go grocery shopping for any items I need. I am a big "coupon and sales" shopper, so I check out the ads and clip all my coupons, then plan my meals and shop. It works for me.
HOWEVER, this weekend I was so busy that I didn't get to accomplish ANY of that. We have nothing but a FEW leftovers in the fridge, so I'm skipping my meeting that I should be going to tonight so I can go home and work on my meal plan.
I also got out all my winter clothes yesterday so I could find something to wear this chilly week, but the bins of clothes are just sitting in my room, I have not had a chance to make any kind of switch.
Overall I'm feeling very disorganized and can't WAIT to have some time to put my life back in order...but time off is not in my future, so I guess I work with what I can, it's all we can do sometimes, right?
I DO know that eating carbs is NOT going to help me get these jobs done...just slow me down further...so that is NOT an option!

I plan to spend the next 5 hours in my classroom productively, making use of spare moments to get my work done, so I'm not sitting here until 8:00 tonight.
Breakfast is done, water is halfway there, lunch is packed, and supper (pork chops and cabbage in cream and Parmesan) is in the refrigerator.
Have a great day, everyone.
I'm defending my day by being authentic. I will be the best me today I can be.
I woke up late because I was at our sons annual bon fire late last night.I feel blessed to be able to sleep in most days if I need to.
I made coffee, the elixer of life. The aroma wafts through the house. Music is always playing. My husband e-mailed me this morning and told me the day was great ,63*, and I should take coffee outside and relax from one swing to the next around the yard and take in the views before winter hits. The sky is amazing. So is he.
My house is clean and organized.I worked hard last week. It's ready for all the inside projects as winter hits.I have alot of projects this year.
I will next go downstairs and work my upper body with weights.
Then I will sew princess costumes today to mail down to Bloomington Indiana to my grandaughters tomorrow. I should be able to complete them today.
I actually have a list! I have chicken in a crock pot and beef in the oven to cook for the week. Salad stuff in the fridge.
Amy ,I never put my summer clothes away. I wear sleeveless shirts all winter under other things because I dislike being hot and I can take off the outer layer. In the morning I dress in workout shorts and a tank top.It helps me not to have an excuse not to work out.I am always ready.I get dressed only after I have worked out. My bed is over 100 years old and very tall.I have to climb UP to get in. I have totes under the bed full of tee shirts and shorts and winter sweaters.Indiana is a state where you can have all four seasons in one week. The only thing I clean out is stuff to go to Good Will.

Love the "being authentic" idea. I'll go with that today.
I miss coffee. Had to give it up because it was responsible for my Burning Mouth Syndrome. Haven't had any symptoms since giving up coffee. And, it's not the caffeine, cause I've had that and no problem. I can't imagine what in coffee other than caffeine is doing that to me. Weird.
I weighed the same yesterday. I'm not worrying though. I love my diet these days, am NOT going hungry and have very few cravings. If I maintain where I am forever, it wouldn't be that bad. And, I suspect my bodyfat composition is changing slowly but surely anyway. What more can I hope for??

I'm writing that I need to get more sleep, which would happen if I went to bed earlier. I didn't want to get up this morning, didn't have lunch planned, decided in a moment of insanity to have a croissanwich, which is going to make it a NO day. :(

Loved that movie!
I tend to take the chance most of the time although it worries my wife. She even finds this (The LC Cult ) a little scary. She has concerns over the IF thing as well but my blood sugar never dips below 5.1 even on a long fast.
I went with one of my sons (36) on the work weekend (guys getaway and close up the cottage before winter) and we ended up having great discussions going and returning, as well as Campaign games into the wee hours. He has never got married, possibly never will but knows what he may miss and likes life as an "independent".
There was lots of work to do and he ended up doing much of the wood splitting (loves an axe and a pile of wood) while the rest of us got the gutters, boats, plumbing, etc.. I was over a bit on the carbs with legal foods but found it too easy to snack as others snacked on chips and such, while playing games.
Today I'll "defend my life" by go out on a limb by approaching my co-worker and trying to get a change in how we work together. ... The good thing is that I am always busy. The bad is that when it really gets busy as end of year approaches, I'll be swamped.

Checking in and willing to Rock on AND Rock out!
I am having a great day. At a wonderful meal at Nothin' but Noodles. I had a noodle-free dish. It had a cheese chicken/spinach and lettuce that you could wrap the cheese chicken/spinach or dip in the cheese sauce. Loved it. I also made it to the aquasize class. I used the floaty weights which made it much tougher and more challenging. :-) I feel great!
Have a wonderful day!
Funny that you went to a place called "Nothin but Noodles" and had food that didn't contain...NOODLES!!
:lol::lol::lol:
Randy....Men are supposed to take chances.(hunt down the food and kill it) That's what makes them men.Women want security.(safe nest to raise babies) That's what makes them women. We also are the hunter gatherers..(shoppers) This is just the overall picture. There are varying degrees...(don't freak out if you don't agree) I was really nervous when the roof over my head was not ON the ROOF and it was raining .... Once it was fiinished I breathed a sigh of relief.
But I love excitement and danger when I know I have the skill to over come it. As in being in rough water in a canoe or boat... But not in the city in a rough area. When I was in my early 20's two men dressed in business suits followed me all over and I could not shake them in a mall. (my mom taught me to be aware of my surroundings) I did not have the skill in martial arts to over come them yet . I went to security and got an escort out to my car and did not go home but to a big tough friends home. I vowed after that to never, never be or look weak. I also made sure my kids were taught to take care of themselves ,now they teach others.

I did not get everything done. But I'm meeting with the supervisor today and will ask about telework so they can have the cube and I can waste time at home instead of here. Naturally, it will be phrased better than that. But, As I look back on my list of stuff that I wanted to write, while I didn't succeed at everything, or even get to everything, I gave a go at a lot of things and learned. And, if this is the day that my progress is going to be judged on, it's more than a yes. Or even a YES. It's more than a streak kept alive to whatever number it's at now (forgotten, but researchable). It's a day that will be easy to account for. Don't get me wrong. It was all of the above too.

Hi all--
Checking in a day late. Sorry for that. I was yes in everything but did not get in my exercise. So that's a no for me for today. :-(
Tomorrow will be better.
