Well, we've gone nearly all month aiming to be true to ourselves, true to our goals, and perfect on plan. It's getting close to figuring out what's worked, and what hasn't, to keep you challenged and engaged and focused so that you can get to your goals.

So I thought I'd start this weekend off with a poll.
What challenges you?

Enjoy, and have a good weekend all!

What's everyone up to this weekend?

Again, I slept in a bit today, so I'm just getting going. Breakfast is done, but I need to get a protein shake and some water going.

My scale seems to have dropped a few pounds, so that's always a great incentive. It wasn't moving over the last week and a half or so even though I'm staying under my carb goals and at least up to my protein goals.

What challenges me? For one thing, reading what others are doing gives me great ideas and it also reminds me how well this program works.

The number one activity that helps me succeed is planning. That's always my Saturday goal since I have virtually no time to cook during the week. I need to have the groceries bought and a couple of dishes cooked, hopefully today so I can relax tomorrow. So, it's off to hunt down a couple of recipes that sound appetizing . . .

The challenges challenge me when I know someone else is working hard too.

Knowing that I have people I care about..and people that care about me either doing what I'm doing or doing something different and sharing... and a place to come too to 'work it all out' at is very VERY helpful to me.

Hi, great poll.

I need to stay on track by checking in at least daily to post and belonging to a forum that cares about me really helps. A "buddy" would work nicely, but don't have one of those. Mainly, accountability of this site works wonders.

PP breakfast, then working around the house. Tonight, the symphony, Beethoven's 3 & 4th symphonies; last week, drank coffee before the program, didn't even go near the bread pudding, wasn't even a temptation.

Have a great weekend all.

Hi! Busy day today! I didn't check "other" but I realized just now that finding other literature that supports the PP program is very heartening to me. GCBC is an eye-opener, for sure, giving the history of the research projects that have been done.

Heading off for a party right now, and I'm hungry, but I know these people will have something I can eat and stay on plan. They serve the best sausage-stuffed mushrooms I've ever tasted, so I'm HOPING!

Free time challenges me. When I feel good about myself, I make great use of it. When less good, I don't make any use of it. I'm not sure which is chicken and which is egg, or which comes first, but free time is a challenge.

The weekend was a yes for me. The best meal was the sirloin salad at Longhorn yesterday! I also tried a no-bake lemon cheesecake.http://www.proteinpower.com/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif

A 'yes' weekend for me, too :).

For me, setting daily goals (carbs, protein and exercise) is the key. When I feel I'm slipping a little, I throw in some journaling for good measure ;).

My challenge is coming up this weekend, in the form of a special guilde gathering.

As we are historical re-enactors, at the end of Faire and event season, we throw a 'fancy-dress' party, re-creating a tavern in the Caribbean, back in the mid-1600's. The event is fun, lasts long into the wee hours and without electricity. And the food....:jawDrop::jawDrop::jawDrop:...oh my. Lots of it and most of it I'll have to avoid. But, I'll think positive and keep to the meat dishes--and load up on protein prior to arriving, so I won't be too badly tempted. That way I'll spend more time enjoying the company and the music.

At least that's my plan...:o
