My new favorite word, forward!
I do have to apologize for the long absence, it was somewhat not by design, I just got caught up in life, or life caught me up, perhaps is better. I started the new position on August 1, and I realize what a large state Illinois is as I have put on 8500 miles on my car since then. We got moved the end of July and I took a week off but was called into work during that vacation period, if that gives you any idea how hectic things have been. And incredibly the person who had the job before me never had Internet access on her laptop so when I was out traveling I was not connected, unreal in these days. But I have 90 days in, my first evaluation is set for a couple weeks and they are talking about a raise, so apparently I have set forth a good start. WE will see! ;) I know that Gabe and I have never worked harder in our lives, but you know we both love our positions.
Casey, Chicago boy, got married last weekend, what a joy it was. The day was perfect and the kids are now celebrating in Maui and Kauai, so good for them. If you hear any bits of absolutely proud "momma" in my voice, you have it!! Pictures yes I do have!!!
Anyway, enough about the things that have gotten in the way, at the end of the day, it is all about choosing and making decisions that are best for each of us. At times I made the best choices I could but prioritizing, usually something that I can do pretty well, really got crumpled in the move and job change. So what do you do but do some soul searching, re-eval and ask your friends to walk the road with you again. So I am asking! :)
My weight is the same as when I left, but we all know that weight and numbers says nothing about our good health. I have not joined a gym up here yet although have started to scout them out. The only exercise I have gotten was pretty regular walks, but nothing to hang my hat on.
So the work begins. I will be here, I will be around and I am so glad that Gabe said to me this morning, what have we been waiting for, lets do it!!
Good to be home!
