November 9, 07
Hi, this is the first menu I have posted. I am astonished how my
numbers came out. It seem like I have eaten a ton of fat and calories. Any feedback would be appreciated. I was very detailed about my list.
Once I get use to keeping track I may not be as detailed. Although, I do
care to keep my fat and calories at the minimum. Also, pecans don't seem
like much of a bargin, the calories and fat are high. Kelly
Atkins bar cal 160, fat 8, fib 9, pro12, carb 17, ecc 8
1 oz pecans cal, 97, fat 10, fib 1.5, pro 0, carb 2

Without veggies today.
Kag650, many of us have created a free account on fitday.com (http://www.fitday.com/).
You can put in all your foods and it will keep track of the numbers. You can also "alter" foods to match the nutritional data on the package (like the Atkins bar).

I would appreciate feed back on my November 9th menu. It's the first
menu I've posted and it doesn't seem that I'm on track with eating
all that food. Thanks, Kelly
Doesn't matter how much food you eat, as long as you stick to the calculated mininums/maximums from the PP book.
I would HIGHLY recommend more vegetables and less "wraps" and "bars", but that is only MY opinion.
You may eat whatever you want as long as it's within the PP guides.
You had asked elsewhere how to do the "mixed food" counts.
From my menu, you can see that I have LC lasagna.
I made the recipe and actually did calculate out everything. Then in fitday I found a lasagna and "edited" it with my calculated numbers, so now whenever I make my FAVORITE lasagna, the numbers are there!

11:30am chicken soup (homemade), lettuce
3pm 100calorie chex mix, 3oz salmon
6pm ground beef with cheese and mustard, celery
I don't have the exact counts for the soup, so I didn't put in the fitday results.
The chex mix is 17ecc, so can't have carbs for supper...
I should be around 55ecc for the day.
Bit higher than I like, so I'll cut my orange in half and maybe cut my milk as well.

9 am 1/2 cp cottage cheese with 1 T toasted almonds
lunch. 6 oz shrimp with mayo dressing and 1 cup lettuce
dinner 5-6 oz beef roast with cucumber salad, pickle
9pm slice of cheese, some salami
I normally have 100-120 g protein, 20-30 gr carbs, 80g fat and average to about 1500 cal.
Do you think i need to reduce something to lose weight faster? thanks.
I, personally-in my "I'm no Dr" way, feel that if you reduce any further you will do more harm than good.
Why are you in a hurry to get the weight off? If you are doing what PP recommends, the weight will fall off, and only our bodies can control how fast.
One thing...are you exercising?
