Today, I pledge to spend some time on me...on the things I have neglected while work overload in the past couple days has been in high gear.

-- haircut (and maybe a little makeup pampering, my hairdresser works in a spa...)

-- personal paperwork (bills, budget, dog show entries for Thanksgiving and December)

-- finishing up my closet, which has morphed into reorganizing my spare bedroom into a winter dog training haven. ;)

That's WAY more than 15 minutes...but the haircut and pampering will be worth it and are the payoff for finishing the personal paperwork and pushing forward with the work in the spare bedroom. I believe in bribing myself.

Enjoy this awesome beautiful Saturday, everyone!

I built in some ME time, too, today!

Had a nice, leisurely breakfast - swiss cheese, peppers, & ham omelette with 2 cups of coffee.

I need to do some paperwork today (or tomorrow ) which will free my mind of excess clutter:D.

we're going walking in a few minutes.

Hi, ya'll,

Today I built in some "me" time, also.

Exercise: this am I've done an aerobic/toning tape(my favorite), core work.

The rest of the day, will be setting up my closets and unpacking/giving to Goodwill the rest of my clothes that I need to purge.

I am going to spend a weekend at home just setting the rest of it up.

Favorite cousin is feeling better, (like a brother) is coming to see the house and for a PP dinner tonight.

Hubby still out of town with INLAws untill tomarrow. I might start sorting some of his stuff to, but just to boxes that he can go through when he gets back.

Have a great weekend, all.

Today I am making a month long food plan so I can think ahead. I am also making a menu for when our son comes home on leave from Iraq on November 12 for 5 days. He eats alot. So I may have to have things around here that I don't normally. I can always sabotage them with yellow #5 so I won't eat them. I don't understand why I just can't think about carbs in the same way I think about yellow#5????:confused::confused:

I am going to be journaling everything I stick in my mouth. I need to find allergy triggers. :mad:I have been drinking whey and L glutamine for a couple days,(ewwww ...but tolerable.) I am beginning to think that chicken is a trigger. Even organic.:suspicious:

Hawk, I've been wondering about Jon. Glad to hear he's going to be home for a break.

Gaelen.... Self bribing is IN ORDER FOR SURE! lol :D

Claudette... won't it feel GOOD to have the 'move' complete!

Annie..... HOW does the paper work PILE that high sometimes....it just amazes me how quickly if left unattended!

Oh yeah...me time?? We are setting up at a posh place to play a benefit for a private school. It will be awesome. The food is usually wonderful and I know I can eat right. It will be black tie optional which is a very beautiful evening. It is work but it is FUN work. They feed us. free,,, we have bar access.... One glass of dry red wine is cool for me.

Sounds like a "me" day for all. My "me" time today consisted of relaxing in my recliner until about 3:00, except for making waffles from the CarbWars recipe book. I've tried the ones from Comfort Foods before. The jury's still out, especially since I was missing a couple of ingredients and had to substitute a bit. But, I've fulfilled half of my pledge to try two new recipes. I'm also looking at a meat loaf recipe from the same book that includes BBQ sauce (recipe also in the book). So I may do that.

I'm making New England clam chowder for my husband today. I don't like clams, so it's no temptation for me. But it does remind me of how nasty the day today is up along the New England coast. Much nicer here in PA.

We're leaving in a bit to go out to eat with my in-laws. I think it'll be a steak and salad night.

So glad to hear your son's going to be home, Hawk. I know that'll be a huge blessing.

Lynn, weddings are such fun! I'm sure the preview of the dress was great.

It's a me day here too. I took a charkha spinning workshop this morning. For charkha think Gandhi, except that my charkha is made out of pvc pipe. http://www.babesfibergarden.com/litenspindle.html.

This afternoon and evening will be devoted to alpaca. I'll spend the evening carding and spinning.

Checking in.

I had a great girl day. I went to the the Christmas Craft Show (http://www.christmasvillagefestival.com/) in Birmingham. 700 vendors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was insane!

We then went to World Market (http://www.worldmarket.com/home.jsp) where I fell in love with with this. (http://www.worldmarket.com/kitchen-tabletop/Wine-Racks--Accessories/wine-racks/Eiffel-Tower-Wine-Rack/lev/4/productId/611/Ne/1100001/Ns/NEW_ARRIVAL_FLAG%7C1%7C%7CCATEGORY_SEQ_3095%7C0/N/1100381/Nty/1/view/10000/index.pro)
I have been looking for a cool wine rack. I didn't buy this one 'cause I am cheap!

We ate at Cullman's Johnny's BBQ (http://www.johnnysbarbq.com/). I had the pulled pork. i have to say it's some of the best BBQ!

It has been a wonderful day!

A little late today. Recovering or in teh middle of a flu and went a little over today with lots of fluids, watered down juices, etc..

I like reading all the "me time" entries and everyone's day, they sound great.
