Holy canoli!
Where is everyone???
It's almost 3 PM and no one has started a thread yet:eek::exclamation:
I've followed a couple of previous week-ends and combined the 2 days into one thread since so many of us are off somewhere being
HOPEFULLY
Week-end Warriors:D
I think that's the mindset I'm going to need heading into the holiday season. This is my last "easy" week-end. From here commences chaos and I need a war plan ...
luckily, it's all been laid out for me in Protein Power ... I just need to follow it:rolleyes:.
Doing my usual this week-end - chores, chores and more,
followed by a lovely visit with DS#1 and our newest D-i-L:D
later!

Wow, I agree, where is everybody?
Great weekend!
This am , we met our grown son at a favorite cafe for breakfast, (they will let me have whatever I need to stay on PP). It is always nice to see him and have him drop by.
Then, I worked around the house and baked a birthday cake for our voice teacher that we are taking tonight to her house. It's the real deal, (full of carbage) so I probably won't have but a tiny piece, but have allowed for the carbs, so I will be ok. She is having a PP friendly dinner for us, so all will be well.
dh and I will walk or do a aerobics tape tonight when we get home and I will do my body flex and probably my callenectics tape, also.
Have a great weekend, all.

Hello Claudette, Agnes :).
We're enjoying a quiet weekend (except when I had to go to the shops, which were insane - I thought Christmas must have been brought forward a month ).
Maybe we'll have more company here tomorrow?

I've been grocery shopping and finishing my house cleaning in preparation for my son and his family. They are only a couple of hours away now as they left their home in mid Kansas this morning. Can't wait to see them.
We will have some of the other kids (from Ky.) in on Thursday and on Fri. night one of the grandsons will come in from Ky. also. We will have kids from wall to wall!!! DH and I think we will probably wind up sleeping out in the horse camper. It is the one we use at trail ride and it is very comfy.
Needless to say, I probably won't be around the board very often this next week, but I will try to peek in every once in a while. Take care everyone and have a great holiday if I don't get back to post.

Hi, everyone...busy busy day. Spent the morning waiting for the auto shop to call (the truck died last night and I had to have it towed to the shop) and doing bills, recalculating the budget and trying to make sure that I've got the cash to cover whatever the car is going to cost. I was supposed to show Maddie today and tomorrow, but I had to miss her ring call to wait for the repair shop--so tonight, busy getting her ring ready.
Just busy busy busy but completely on plan. Good weekends, everyone.
This ones fighting a fever... some warrior I am...
I just met a friend of one of our sons at the door with more venison for me.. What a cool kid. He puts me at the top of his list. He is a butcher . Quite a few hunters use him. So when ever they trade him an extra deer for processing , I pay the processing fee and he gives me the deer.
I have been living on broth and a few pieces of sirlion. A tiny bit of salad.
No excersize today.

I never even turned on the computer yesterday! I slept late, did some housework, met friends for lunch and went to a music jam which lasted until supper time. Raised a lot of BE's. I spent the evening with DH to make up for being gone all day.
I had steak and chicken and vegetables at a restaurant for lunch and an open-faced hamburger on the drive home for my supper. I had no trouble getting my protein! I made corned beef and cabbage for DH, and I didn't even want any. This morning I'm sipping coffee w/cream and no sweetener. My blood sugar is still about 5-10 points higher than I like, but I know it's not carb-related. I LOVE having no cravings! This may be the year that I don't need to sample the pies or potatoes at Thanksgiving dinner. Then we'll have a look at Christmas... :D
A family friend is coming over later to give me specific guidance in cropping her daughter's family portrait shots. The grandson will be here this afternoon and all work will grind to a halt!
(((Lynn))), even warriors have to rest when they have a fever, you know. Take care of yourself, please, and don't try to work through it. I'm sure the G-man has told you the same thing! Congrats on getting all the venison! My hunters have not produced yet.
Janet, my plan is to stay out of the shops as much as possible. My grocery store (a large supermarket) began playing Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" last Monday while I was shopping. Another lady and I just froze, looked up at the speakers in the ceiling and said "Not already! :jawDrop:
I've made plans to shop on Friday with my mother and sister. We're not going to the malls ( but to a village with little shops and charming places to eat. It looks like it will be snowing, which will be even better!
Pat, I hope your truck isn't too expensive!
Don't worry Carol..there are so many deer out there. We have them walking through our yard and eating our hosta in town. I hope you have fun shopping . I love mom and pop stores. I love finding unique one of a kind gifts.
Last night I coughed so much, I think I pulled muscles. My neck, upper back and chest hurts really bad. G'man was supposed to play guitar in church but called off and stayed home with me. It's a good thing we are close friends with our doctor. G'man got him on the phone at 7:30 am today and asked him to phone in Biaxin. I've been taking musinex. I tried rubbing vicks on my chest and cheeks. I cannot smell it at all...weird.
I am trying to stay sitting up. When I lay down, I begin coughing. It's real fun with a CPAP...yuck...blows air in one side and yuck out the other. SO I have not slept much. I thought I could get over it without antibiotics. I have not taken them for about three years.
So far today I have taken suppliments and coffee. I think I am going to have some microfiltered whey and L-glutamine in some water and more broth..and of course I am scarfing up probiotics.

Lynn,
Please take care of yourself. Like Carol said, even warriors need to rest when they are sick.
Carol, I wish we were going to have snow on Friday, or even anytime during the holliday season for that matter.
Today, after church, we had lunch. I am going to work on getting the house ready for Thursday, then dh and I will go walking later tonight.
Gaalen, hope your truck issues are soon worked out.
Have a great day, all.

Lynn, you poor thing! It *is* nice having access to the doctor!
I've got a customer coming (actually she's a bit late) to go over photos. I'd rather be taking a nap in my chair. DS and DGS are upstairs taking a nap. It's quiet and a little bit chilly in the house, so a fuzzy throw and a recliner chair sounds good!

Hang in Lyne.
We had a dinner out last night with hosts who prepared a LC dinner for us. I figure that is was just under 20 including an Orange Mousse (water, cream, gelatin, orange juice, orange zest and whipped cream beaten in before setting.
I'll make it here but use more zest, less juice and more sweetener.
I was at Wal-Mart yesterday and noticed that SF, setting pectin that was on sale.
Today I made Raspberry Jam at just under 13 ECC/10 oz. bottle made 2 bottles). It was about 20 ounces of raspberries, 2 shakes of Xanthum gum, 1.25 cups water and 1 pack SF Pectin. I think pectin is sugar free normally but this is meant for setting sugar free jams so the only carbs were from the berries.
Total: 277

Carbs: 66 -39 =25

Tonight we are having Chipotle Drumsticks. You get about 40 for $12.00 and I soaked them in a Chipotle sauce I made with tomato sauce, vinegar, oil, 3 Chipotles and then blend. It made a thick sauce that clung to the chicken and they are baking now at 350.
Counts for the day will be under 30 ECC, just over 100 protein with an 18/6 IF window. It should have been longer but I began sampling the jam and 2 protein cookies while baking.
Got a workout in for abs and legs and my wife cleans up when I cook for guests so I'm all caught up.
My husband cleans up when I cook for guests too! Your Chipotle drumsticks sound good. I'm thinking about making wings that way.
Are you putting the orange mousse recipe up here?

I'll tweak it first and should finish it this week it this week. It was set and served in small bowls (3-4 oz.) with a small spoon and a few raspberries on top.
I should have added salt to the Chipotle sauce although my BIL took all the skin off anyway (GI Diet - a bit lower carb and very little fat).
Lots of work done and ready for winter.
