Whether you're formally celebrating thanksgiving today or not, why not take a few minutes to think of the things that you're thankful for. If you want to tell us about them, that's even better :D.
Family, friends and food are a good starting point (though too much family at one go can make you forget sometimes ;) ).
Enjoy your day :).

Morning!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Mitra, too much family and too much food are both sometimes too much:razz:
Never too much friends, though.
I'll have one of my 3 children and my sister with us at my s-i-l's house.
Of the 5 in their family only s-i-l & us and the parents celebrate Thanksgiving together. The rest are with their in-laws.
I should be seeing ds,d-i-l and grandblessing later, though:D
Thanksgiving was always my favorite meal of the year.
As a child, I would eat potatoes, and loved dressing (stuffing), and the celery sticks we would have out ahead of time, and the hot oven biscuits, and ate white meat turkey ... so Thanksgiving was one of the few times a year I'd eat to being stuffed.
One of those "trips to the honey tree" for me.
This year, I'm looking forward to just being off of work for 4 days in a row:rolleyes:.

Hi, I'm finally home! Made it through one dinner, preparing for the next in an hour or so. I had lots of turkey, a respectable amount of green beans (turned out well, but I prefer almonds added), and a cup of tea. My sister made sweet potato pie--a first in our family--and I tasted it.
I'm thankful for everyone's health. My granddaughter in Texas fell and cut her chin this morning and is okay with stitches. My nephew was in an accident on black ice this morning and is okay with head cuts. Thank you, God.

Carol--so glad everyone's okay, but it doesn't make for a fun Thanksgiving.
I stayed on the plan I worked out. I took sausage stuffing (sausage, onion, celery, and cabbage with poultry seasoning) to my MIL's house. Some of the other folks ate it as well and thought it was good. I had some ham and turkey as well--and came home feeling great.
I was in a rush leaving--overslept and had to hurry to get the stuffing made--so I forgot to take my dessert. I settled for hanging out in the living room where I wouldn't be tempted and then had my dessert (pumpkin cheesecake) when I got home.
A great day overall!
Happy Thanksgiving to all--

Carol - glad everyone is okay!
Ruth - I am so impressed!
I didn't watch my carbs, wasn't planning to, but didn't go nuts, either.
Had cauliflower, turnips, turkey, a small amount of potatoes and 2 small servings of two different desserts.
Had my eggs for breakfast and skipped lunch.
