Good morning! Are you shopping? Back to work? Relaxing? At least you're not moaning about everything you ate yesterday, right? ;)

My second dinner yesterday went as well as the first, except for heartburn from the 7-layer salad. Some of those onions were potent!

I had plans this morning to go shopping with my mother and sister. It snowed last night, though, and driving on it was like driving on Crisco. Since we didn't really have an agenda, we decided to stay home and not be a statistic. It's snowing again right now, but I think it's warmed up enough to melt the roads and make it safer to drive. Too late! I'm working on my Christmas cards now.

I'm at work. No shopping for me today. Yesterday was very nice. I literally had 1 serving spoon if each thing. I did have 2 very small pieces of pie (1 apple and 1 chocolate). Got on the scale this morning and it did very little damage, less than a pound. And I have been staying in this range no matter what I eat or don't eat recently.

I am at work and shopping.

I picked up several Star Wars Figures from eBay for my one son (my wife has his name in our family name draw).
I ordered a new scale as well since ours is definitely under weighing much of the time. When I weigh at other places there is too many pounds difference and even using it a few minutes apart can cause a discrepancy of several pounds so I have to jiggle on it and wait until I have a consisten reading over a few days. ... Time for a new one.

My wife is in Toronto for a week with our daughter/grand daughter and SIL and I have a week to myself.
I have committed to a team for the winter and will join volleyball in January as well.
Today will be a snack around 3:00 and a large dinner at 5:00 of leftover Chipotle Beef Macaroni. I used meat strips, hamburger, Mushrooms, Zukes and peppers to lower the carb count but could not enter the Dreamfields pasta into fit day and have the calories count right. I tried various ways to play with the carbs to have it read right CALS/CARB wise but it just won't work. I even entered the extra cals that don't count as carbs, as alcohol (7 cals/gram) but that did not work either since they come back as carbs and I gave up.

Today (planned) will be

1800 cals IF: 21/3
35 ECC
120 Protein

Good afternoon, all--

Yesterday went just as planned, so I'm a happy camper--no sugar hangover, no guilt.

I'm not working, off until next Thursday as a matter of fact. This is deer hunting country, so we set up our schedule around the beginning of next week.

I haven't ventured out yet, just reacquainting myself with my house this morning. I have a haircut in a bit, so I'll be leaving soon. I have two baby showers to shop for and a couple of other things to get but I don't plan any power shopping today.

Randy, what kind of scale did you order? My scale overweighs me somewhat, and it's kind of erratic. I'm never sure exactly what I weigh until I go to the doctor.

Carol, sounds like Christmas cards is the ticket for today. Be careful if you do go out.

Happy Black Friday to all.

Ruth,
I'm a scale addict and when I see other people's readings with things like 172.3 pounds I know they have a scale that I would like. Mine is all over the place lately and possibly has a sticky part near my wife's weight. She is definitely gaining while doing low calorie with extra snacking but the scale is pretty constant.;)

I went with the Omron Fat Loss Monitor, which seems to give a consistent weight measurement in .2 pound increments and you can just step on it or go through the other steps (programming) to monitor change. I likely should have paid the extra (about $30 more) and gone up to a Homedics Digital Lithium Scale but time will tell.
I had tried a digital before and took it back the next day. Costco has a great return policy and we'll see how this one works.

Greetings to all,
well I survived turkey day..... really well. had lots of meat, some vegg and olives and stayed away from the rest and to my UTMOST surprise, i did not crave all the starchy stuff. I have been on PP for about 10 days and i think i am slowly but surley losing the cravings. My sons and i went to breakfast and i had an omlet. we just did a little grocery shopping and we are going to relax and read a book (well at least i will). i am happy today that i am not craving the dang sweets and i weighed myself today and i am down 4.5 pounds in 10 days. i am very pleased. i do start to plan my meals a little better but i cant focus on food all the time because i do have a tendency to let it take over my mind. i guess that this is a form of addiction. i have protein at home that i love and veggies and as i dont have time for breakfast during the week (and dont like to eat breakfast) i got some protein shakes that are rather tasty. so far so good. one day at a time. i do notice that i have been having some headaches the last 2 days, could that be anyway relalted to PP or is that maybe some sugar withdrawl? Thanks for you support.

Hi Anette!

welcome and glad to hear you're doing so well. As for your headaches - have you been drinking enough water? (everyone who knows me would be moaning if they heard this). Whenever anyone in my family complains of any malady other than bleeding from a wound of some sort, I tell them to drink a glass of water and come see me in 20 minutes.

I had a sem-busy day today. Got a couple of loads of laundry done (tried to but couldn't sleep late). Spot cleaning.
Then, dh & I went out and chopped down a Christmas tree. We got plenty of beautiful, glorious fresh air. Plenty of exercise walking up and down hills, resistance work chopping (he says he'll bring a battery operated Sawzall next year:razz:) and then more exercise and weight work walking up and down hills and plains carting the tree back to our car:D.

We're leaving it in our back yard for now, we'll be away for a week or so, on a convention vacation, but figured it'd be okay, anyway. I know the trees they sell locally, already cut, have already been cut. And they're just sitting there. So we cut it, transported it gently, handled it gently, and it should be good.

Hi, Agnes!

Yay for you, Anette! I love not having the cravings!

I got a good start on the Christmas cards today. See you all tomorrow...
