:) Good morning to all,

i have my PP day planned out and i will be just fine. I have to make sure i drink enough. 64 oz is a challenge for me, but i do my best. don't have much planned today. question, do you guys it's better to have the PPLP instead of PP? let me know. To everyone, have a wonderful PP day with no cravings (almost) and peace of (food) mind.

Greetings to everyone who is "familied" out, turkey'd out, shopped out! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday so no complaints from me, but I know for many it is the start of a difficult season.

Gabe and I did not do well yesterday at all, we were so hungry and we went to an ethnic grocery store that provided him so many products that he hasn't seen or tasted in years, we had a bit of a Guatemalan fest last night. But today I have a turkey breast to cook and some wonderful looking asparagus so right back at it.

Hope everyone that your Sunday is great....

P.S. Annete I took care of the 24, I have done the same things more times than I can count! :)

Good morning all.

I found a local supplier of Erythritol and Xylitol last night for some holiday cooking/baking and will work on those later today. I baked yesterday and used up some Soy Protein that I wasn't using to make some ugly, but great tasting cookies. (http://www.lastoutpost.com/ProteinPower/Cookie-SoyProtein.JPG)

I have dropped Resistance to 3 days/week after someone noted that doing it every day I was doing 5-6/week, could have been the reason for slower weight loss (body not fully recovering). It has helped as well as the IF restriction.

So no workout today, teaching in 2 hours, some baking later and then cleaning the kitchen which I let get out of control.;)

Oooh, Randy, they is ugly, but they look good to me! :D

Billie, I woke up very early this morning and couldn't get back to sleep thinking about all the things I need to do before Christmas! I hate that! My plan to get through life is to simplify, but it doesn't always happen that way. Thanksgiving was a breeze, but I am "familied out" already.

Anette, I have had to be bailed out by a moderator many times! Coffee seems to make it worse for me! ;)

Hi everyone!

I've been kind of in a grumpy funk last few days. Can't pinpoint the reason why:confused: but I'm trying not to let it "get" to me or my loved ones.

Haven't been familied out. I think part of it is I really wanted to go holiday window shopping, but dh hates window shopping (but likes actual shopping:rolleyes:) and he isn't thrilled if I leave him all alone.

I can't start real shopping, still don't know what I am getting anyone, except maybe him and I can't do that when he's around.

Should put up my outside decorations today, but so far, don't feel in the mood. We'll be gone from Tuesday til the following Thursday, so if I don't do it today, it won't be for weeks:suspicious: and by then it'll probably be really cold.
Have too much work work to do tomorrow - preparing to leave for that long, have much to take care of and can only do it at work. Only thing left here is to pack - laundry is all done.

Later!

Anniesnan, this is what I think you need!!

<<<HUG>>>

You know our moods are difficult sometimes but the best cure is to dig in and do something for yourself or somebody else...how about putting up a few lights, getting out a candle or just curling up with some hot tea and doing some reading, making a list. I know you can!

Carol simplify is so good. Gabe and I choose to go away from Thanksgiving so we could help simplify our lives a bit. I knew the first holiday my new daughter in law would like to go to her parents so we thought lets get away. It was simply and easy and great. The older I get the more the word simply means delicious, divine and perfect!

Randy do you need my new address to send the Christmas baked goods?

Agnes, you sound just like me when I'm getting ready for a long trip. I call it "travel dread" and it colors my whole attitude. I just don't like long trips.

Billie, my mother was so tired after she had us all over for Thanksgiving that I suggested we go to a restaurant next year. I was only half-serious, because she won't turn over the reins. "It's Tradition!" After two traditional hubbub dinners, I'd be happy to just walk into a restaurant and let someone else do the dishes! :D

I know what you mean Carol. My friends said to me how could you go to a B & B over Thanksgiving and eat dinner with strangers. Well Gabe and I don't know strangers, by the time we left we had exchanged emails and learned wonderful stories from new friends. One of them was a couple from Alaska who made it their couple tradition for either Thanksgiving or Christmas to spend just with themselves. No kids or family or anything. That would be hard for me at Christmas I think, especially when the kids were little. But you know who is to judge it seemed to work well for them. Another two delightful women told about their lives and the dedication they have to each other, amazing!

So maybe a wonderful meal next year at a restaurant would be grand. But traditions are hard to break, and for moms especially. A mom who works at it is writing this. I think one of the gifts my ex mother in law ever gave me was to value the traditions of others as equally as I do my own. Still taking a lifetime to learn that one!

We had a marvelous time with kids and grandkids and sisters and my brother and in laws. I am glad for it and now there is peace. I am glad for that too.

I think it is marvelous to spend time together with spouses alone. I enjoy the day after they all leave to celebrate the holiday together alone and talk about all the things we are thankful for. When ever it works for them all to be together, we get together. When the tornado of life calms down and every one goes back home , then in the calm, we take out the wine and have a couple friends over and sit in front of the fire.

Christmas will be the same way. Whatever day works out with travel and grandkids and in laws..I'll take it. Then my husband and I will take time between the holidays to be together and talk about the year. The great things, the not so great, what could make it better. Dreams, wishes...

I thanksgivinged my self out for three days..Today I had chicken fajitas and water. NO shells or rice..PP fajitas.
I think Chrstmas food with my family will all be the same as Thanksgiving. So it loses it's appeal the second time. Turkey and steamed veggies sound wonderful now.

Hope you have a good day.
Snow is slowly falling here. It is beautiful.

thanks, Billie - I needed that:D

I didn't do any holiday stuff or any packing. Spent a couple of hours working on the sweater I'm crocheting for my new grandchild to be:D

Although it shouldn't really take that long to make such a small garment. My problem is, I keep picking up these impossible patterns. This one involves a color change (and finishing off) after every row:rolleyes:. It looks adorable so far, but so much work.
And, the last 15 minutes of work or so, I think I'm going to pick out. I dropped a stitch by accident on the 2nd row, left it dropped. So, the first row of the bottom band had one extra stitch on it and if I don't fix it it'll bother me forever.

There is never a dropped stitch with such a work of love, the new babe will cherish it!
