My dr said my "bad" cholesterol is a little high, but my "good" cholesterol is higher than he has ever seen. Could this be indicative of a pending problem? I have just had a heart attack. Never heard of "good" cholesterol being too high. Help!

Are you sure you got those figures right?Bad cholesterol contributes heart attacks, the good helps prevents them.I have high cholesterol.I have high cholesterol,my doctor put me on lipitor to help bring the bad down.I had to change all the foods I was eating, cut out the sweets, that included sodas, cookies, candy, ice cream, anything that has sugar in it.Fish, Chicken without the skin, lots of fruits and vegetables and more water than I ever drank in my life. It's hard but my levels went down,I lost 12 lbs. and I feel great.

Replies don't seem to reply to any content, David.
You wouldn't happen to be one of the davidlee's over on alt.support.diet.low-carb? This thread is reminiscient of that.
Again, no one can play lab technician on here without knowing your actual cholesterol numbers. Absent the numbers, there's not really any basis for discussion.
