Hello all, just starting today. PP seems like a good plan although a little confusing at first. I think I have it figured out, but will probably ask a lot of questions.

Welcome! Ask all the questions you want and we'll all take turns answering them.

Do some reading, too, on the Protein Power Forums page. It will probably answer a lot of questions very quickly. I particularly like all the scientific background for what I'm doing. I always have to know "why"! :)

having the book really helps. i "sort of" started PP by just reading stuff on the web - but when I got and read PP Lifeplan - the reasons behind the recommendations really clicked and I was able to start the program in earnest.

Warm welcome!!

Ask away, it is a bit confusing at first, and you know what the confusing part is losing all the thinking about low fat and the things we were taught. Heck the model T was once a good model but science and nutrition have learned so much!

This is a good place to start, making sure you get in the protein minimum and your carb allotment. Remember you can subtract the fiber=--like for example, a cup of green beans has 10 carbs, and fiber is 3 the ECC or carb count then is 7--so see you work to get in the fiber and get a few more carbs!!!

Hi lc2. I'm restarting too. We can both be "freshmen" together :)

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have been away for Easter, but was able to stick fairly closely with the plan.

I do have the book, and have been reading it over. Right now, I'm going to go check out the rest of the threads for more info.
