I'm with Max on this one. I'll read the review first. I can get sensationalism free on the internet. :)

I was also put off by the sensational title, but ended after following some links around, listening to the author being interviewed by Jimmy Moore (part 1 (http://www.thelivinlowcarbshow.com/are-we-witnessing-a-dietary-genocide-dr-james-carlson-speaks-part-1-episode-145/), part 2 (http://www.thelivinlowcarbshow.com/genocide-you-decide-the-james-carlson-interview-part-2-episode-146/)).

It actually sounded quite interesting. Carlson said he wanted it to be so simple that even doctors could understand it (he is one, so he's allowed to say that sort of thing ;) ). He saw it as complementing Taubes's book by presenting the clinical experience side of things rather than academic studies.

It didn't hurt that he first became convinced of the merits of LC when a colleague left a copy of Protein Power on his desk.

I haven't read the book, but if I see one, I might give it a go.
