Thanks for starting the thread Amy. I've been popping in and out hoping for our leader... guess she's having a lie in today. :D

The scale dropped another 2 pounds this morning... 12.5 since 1/2 and that was with all the "off plan" days. I am thrilled!

Breakfast was 3 hard boiled eggs, 4 slices of bacon, 1 slice whole wheat toast with butter, cinnamon and 1 packet of Splenda (LC Cinnamon toast :) )

Lunch will be Progresso chicken noodle soup with a can of Swanson chicken breast added, then split with DH

Dinner is the fajitas we didn't have last night ;)

Will have my tuna and almonds in there as well and probably some cheese. DH just woke up so when I'm wanting lunch he'll be wanting breakfast so I may have my cheese now and lunch mid-afternoon.

I've been popping in and out hoping for our leader... guess she's having a lie in today. :D:o No, I've been shopping in my closet this morning and found a few great bargains! Sorry, folks! I went up just to hang up something and the closet was crowded and you know the rest!

I now have two new pairs of jeans that were at least four inches from fastening a year or so ago. :D Low carb and resistance exercise go great together! I also have two big bags to re-gift. And more room in my closet!

Thanks, Amy, for getting it going! The quote for the day is "EXERCISE!".

It's been about a year since I started resistance exercise and, one day at a time, I've whittled down. Now, it's just something I "do".

So, what's up with you this weekend? :)

We're going to IKEA. New shelves for the new stereo I got my wife to replace the one that was dying on her. It was SUPPOSED to be for Valentines, but it got here early and in the box it came from the factory in, so there was no way to surprise her. Any rate, new stuff begets new stuff, which means you probably should stick with the stuff you have, and maybe even get rid of some of that.

The ITunes library reconstruction proceeds.

Okay, I've got sausage patties portioned out in the freezer and a cauli-meat casserole in the oven. Time to do dishes!

The sun is shining and it's above freezing a little bit, but I haven't even been outside! S'posed to be some freezing rain tonight, but I don't have to go anywhere.

I watched a show on famous barbecue places and then one on famous steak houses. Boy did that look good! http://bestsmileys.com/drooling/1.gif

hey Carol, did you remember the TWO lbs of meat this time? It makes SUCH a difference!

I am about to head up and shop in my own closet to find something sexy to wear dancing. My stomach is looking really flat and less "bumpy" so I am going to wear something a bit skin tight! Maybe I'll try and take a picture! :o

gf is out of town, and as much as I like her to go dancing, I am not really a 'dance with one person' dancer and she is. I want a spot on the dance floor and people just come and go from the circle I'm dancing in. I don't want to hold hands or dance close, i want to ROCK! So tonight should be fun IF they play good music! Cross your fingers cause I have a a group of about 8 people going!

Check in when I get home tonight! If all goes well, it will be 2am!!:D

Well, Carol, instead of shopping in my closet, I went to a store today! :) It is closing and everything was 70% off. Purchased two pair of slacks and two tops -- size 12, thank you very much -- and all for under $30.00. With the alterations I'm doing on some of my existing wardrobe, I'm good to go indefinitely.

Breakfast was a reprisal of the sausage, mushroom, cauliflower casserole. It makes enough to feed me for 4 or 5 days. Lunch was out and definitely not PP friendly, but oh so enjoyable -- 1 Church's Fried Chicken thigh with crispy crust and one with crust pulled off (the dog was grateful). Supper will be very light -- salad and a Carbmaster yogurt. The day will still come under my ECC goals.

My final report for January. Even though I had failed to meet my personal goals by the 24th, I'm proud of things overall. I didn't just throw in the towel and take the "start again next month" attitude. I just made "next month" come a week early. I've lost weight in spite of it all and feel like I'm back on track.

For the day:

Protein: 162
Carbs: 56 (cuz I don't deduct sugar alcohols so I say I'm okay really)
Water: 102

I was going to post (well copy paste) my Month totals from Fitday, but it wouldn't format correctly. It would look okay in the area where I'm typing, but when I'd preview it would get all skewed. :(

hey Carol, did you remember the TWO lbs of meat this time? It makes SUCH a difference!Yes, Amy, closer to three. It's delicious and will eat it all week. I left out the butter entirely and it was still a little greasy. One tube of sausage and a pound and a half of ground beef. Potatoes must absorb TONS of grease!

Well, Carol, instead of shopping in my closet, I went to a store today! :) Cool, BC! Especially impressed that you can do your own alterations. I don't do much more than move coat buttons.

that's why I use one sausage, and one ground turkey or chicken - so there is less grease.

I was SO excited about dancing tonight...however, when I pulled on my skinny jeans, I had good news and bad news.

Skinny jeans fit!
Skinny jeans were too big!!!!!!!!

I hadn't planned on this! THen I started trying on my tight shirts...too big...all too big!!! This is VERY odd. I hadn't noticed my body was changing so much.

But I found something.

Eleven of us showed up, it was a BLAST. I danced for two and a half hours straight, no stopping!! My knees are NOT happy, but the rest of me is!

I stopped and got a Qtr Pounder with cheese on the way home, only ate about a 1/4 of the bun, but enjoyed the meat, protein, and pickles (no ketchup or onions). I was HUNGRY!!!!

Final counts
Supps: yes
Water: yes, 80+oz
Exercise: yes

WOO HOO AMY!!! I was looking at my measurements yesterday, I've lost an inch in my neck, biceps, thighs, and two in my waist. But only 2 lbs difference on the scale! I think Dr. Eades blog yesterday helps realize what has changed... the fat inside the muscles is converting to lean protien, so density is increased, but volume decreased!

:lol::lol::lol:Amy, that's TERRIBLE! I feel so SORRY for you! Way to go, girlfriend! :D

Seriously, I've had that happen and it's frustrating when you find you've made your "saved" clothes obsolete without realizing it. Especially just before an occasion!

Okay, a bit late but here are January's results for me: 6.5 lb lost and I think we've now in control of those cravings! There was a small loss in fat % as well (1.5) and I clearly feel my slacks and jeans fitting differently. So, we're on the right direction and full speed ahead for February!! I think is worth noting that I had to 'restart' on Jan 14, after we came back from Colorado as I kinda blew it when I was there and went back to square one... literally! Feels good to be back in control now!

Have a great night everyone!

For January, I lost ELEVEN and a HALF pounds (understanding that a large part of that is water and other fluid) .

I also was on plan for every day of the month, save January 1, before starting. Do I get a 30 day chip?

For the month (averages):
t-cal: 1700
Protein: 150
Carbs: ~21
Water: good
Diet Coke: reduced to dinner and weekends

Over all, as months go, this can be considered a complete success.

Chips for Max !! Yes, you certainly deserve them Max !! Great job of working the plan to the "max" ! Congrats on the loss; as you've said in other posts--work the plan, the plan works.

Conversely, don't work the plan at 95% or better and play roulette with your results.
