Life affords no higher pleasure than that of surmounting difficulties, passing from one step of success to another, forming new wishes and seeing them gratified.
Samuel Johnson
Here we go! We weekend posters will have the first look at March. Neither Lion nor Lamb, we will simply be confident. Start your next step…….. NOW!
I’ve got the grandblessing to look forward to today.

Morning Carol!
Another soggy day here :( And we're under a "winter storm warning". I'm glad I did my grocery shopping yesterday.
Will be having boiled eggs and bacon for breakfast.
Soup with added chicken for lunch - this is getting to be the normal Sunday lunch, but it's easy. Perfect for today too!
Dinner is chicken tenders and broccoli.
Probably some cheese, tuna and almonds in there too, especially since I'm up so early!
Enjoy your day with the grandblessings Carol :)

Good morning Carol and Becca (and those to follow). T'will be another cold blustery day here so have decided to clean out the chapel closets. They have copious shelves and I've managed to completely fill them. So it's time to pare down, clean out, and give away. Meals are planned: Breakfast will be LC cereal, milk, and 1/2 orange. Venison chili, asparagus, salad, dark chocolate and the rest of the orange for lunch. Dinner will be my old standby of cheese, apple, lavish crackers, wine. Nuts and maybe chocolate for a mid-afternoon snack. That should do it!
Oh, and I unshelved GCBC ready for reading.
Keep warm today, folks. :)
Good morning. I considered posting last night in the march 1 thread but was too tired. It was a good night. Not a great night, but a good one, and that is nice.
The FOOD (new restaurant to me) was spectacular....I REALLY enjoyed it!
Today will be a day of cooking and cleaning. I would like to make some beer-cheese soup, and maybe some tuna/pasta salad. Something wintery, something summery. I haven't made soup all winter and I'll be mad if I don't before spring hits! But I have been craving tuna salad . I'm not a big fan of tuna, but been craving it? I'll make a small batch.
9am 3egs, 2sausage, 1lc toast
1pm beer cheese soup, 2 hot dogs
4pm beef jerky
6:30pm will have to figure this after I go shopping!
Oh...it's chilly here (I think it will be in the teens) but I'd like to go for a walk. It's a beautiful sunny day, so with the right clothing, a walk would be nice!!

HI All!
Taking a break from pp. Birthday cake and a little ice cream. Maybe some Mexican food. So, Monday I'll need to work off those extra carbs!
Have a nice Sunday!

Almost time for taps for me. I'm hitting the hay really early this evening cus I want to cozy-up under the quilt and continue reading. Have some Time Mags backed-up and also a couple of books so tonight is perfect.
Today went like a tornado. Always does when you're having fun. Or better yet, when you are schedule-less. Tomorrow be back to clockwork so I am really going to enjoy this last evening of relaxation.
March challenge will be good for me cus I want to get into the NEAN spirit and also into the 3 meals 1 snack a day routine again. I had sort of floated away in the last few days without DH and I noticed some physical changes - a little puffy around tum.
The quote today Carols was superb only I must admit that wishes tend to come true only if I work really hard on them. Seems that wishing on stars doesn't get me very far lately. Sort of achievement, self-help, wishing and working for the achievement to happen. Not a bad idea Mr. Johnson.

Here we are in March already !! The time does fly, doesn't it. (Unless, you are Max and waiting for that vacation time to get here --it probably isn't flying for him) But anyway, I think I will really buckle down and try to keep track of days completely on track all the way (meds, exercise, supps, water, protein and ecc) I tend to slack off on the water and haven't done a good job with supps lately either. March will be a new beginning for that.
They were predicting our area would get 2 to 5 inches of snow yesterday and we got over 8 here. Just up the road they got over 10 inches !! A few miles south only 3 ??
I would have settled for the 3 myself, but it surely was a beautiful sight while it was coming down .
Well, I'm off to drink some more water and take some supps. See you all later.

Hello, Becca! Hope you are having a good day. Are you working on your "next step"?
Oh, and I unshelved GCBC ready for reading.
Enjoy your book! It's slow, but enlightening!
I haven't made soup all winter and I'll be mad if I don't before spring hits! MMMMM....! Sounds really good right now!

That sounds good, too!

Our weather today is crisp and cold and .......SUNNY! :D It is SO NOT JANUARY right now! We will have another storm or two in March, I'm sure, but they never last long.
I can't believe it's late afternoon already! I put off making the usual cauli bake because we have a sickie in the house who can't stand even the thought of food. No grandblessing either, because of it.
I still have chores that aren't done, but I'm sitting in a sunny window and sipping fresh tea. Life is good.
Instead of beer cheese soup, I opted for seafood bisque. I adjusted the recipe cause it was very caloric. It's good...and I'm going to eat it with chicken thighs as a side item.
DIdn't make it out for a walk today, but I downloaded a resistance workout and I'm planning on doing that tonight. Actually doing it VERY soon cause otherwise I'll be too tired...again.:o
Good afternoon everyone just thought i would drop in and say Hi. Meals are planned for the week still doing weights 3x a week. Intervals on the treadmill also 3x a week. Waiting for my blood test results due tuesday so will see if its time to move carbs up slowly. I may not though im pretty comfortable at 40 or less. I think for me there may be to much temptation after 16mos. of sticking strictly to the plan so we will see i will post my decision after tuesday but leaning toward keeping it under 40.

Today, I am totally blowing lc out of the water! They brought in my favorite cake - German chocolate - luckily with only 1 candle!:D We went out for fish - quite fitting for a Pisces. I hope there isn't too much cake left otherwise I'll be downing more than one piece. At least the fish didn't have much batter on it! So far a very nice BD spent with family.
Not sure what is happening for supper. I guess another surprise.:p

Happy Birthday Sharon. Sounds like you had a nice one with your family.
Well, crap... I mean shoot... I blew it already. I over did my protein and had 41 ecc plus only got in 15 min. of elliptical today so I am starting off 0/1.. I don't think that's the was Max does it.
My stomach still isn't doing very well and actually after eating it seems worse so I would have done myself a favor if I had just had soup or something light like that. Oh well tomorrow will be better I hope.

Hello, Becca! Hope you are having a good day. Are you working on your "next step"?
Day wasn't so good for me, took the girls to church this afternoon and the car died. DH says it's the alternator so it is now at his work to be dealt with tomorrow. Thankfully #1 DD1 didn't drive them to church like she usually does cuz of the weather... and #2 no school tomorrow so DH is taking my car (motorcycles and ice/snow don't mix) and the rest of us are staying home.
I did however not give in to the stress and the GS cookies that DD2 brought home yesterday. Sure one would fit in my day, but I knew I could never have "just one". We decided at dinner that they would save me the last one in the box, then I can have the one and not be tempted to have more.
My next step is my exercising, so today was an off day for that. :)
Ended up having to get some cheese after dinner as I was actually short on my protein. I use Dr. Mike's latest recommendation (in his blogs) that puts me at nearly 30 grams more than the old way in the PP book (and I don't count the protein in veggies and such, only "complete" or nearly complete ones). I was also under 1500 calories for the day (barely over it with the cheese). I'm still in shock, I was triple checking my Fitday info. Still wonder if I left something off, but if I did, I can't find it.
So for the day:
Protein: 134
Carbs: 32
Supps: Yes
Wate: 96
Exercise: planned off day
I am looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow! :D

Great exercise plan! Very smart with the carb plan.

Oh well tomorrow will be better I hope.I hope you'll be better tomorrow, too. We've also got a virus in the house and I'm keeping a low profile so it doesn't find me next.

Somebody's thinkin' here.
This has been a great day, folks. I'm going to head for bed and I'll see you in the morning. If I come back later, you have my permission to yell at me. ;)
I did the workout...not bad. It was something I got "free" from mycokerewards.com and it came from exercisetv.tv. I figured it would be pretty lame, but it was free so what the heck. It wasn't bad at all. It's 22minutes long, and keeps moving. Good upper body basic handweight workout. I'm happy.
Now I am in bed Carol. I was up too late last night, and gf woke me at 7am. Probably best so that I didn't stay up too late tonight, but I sure wanted to sleep in.
Calories are a bit high again today, but I'm making sure to record all mayo/butter/fats. They sure add up!!
