Movement is a medicine for creating change in a person's physical, emotional, and mental states.
Carol Welch
Welcome to the weekend! Have you considered adding exercise to your good habits? Adding a new one to your regular routine?
For me, there is a real boost in self-esteem when I exercise.
No obligations today, so I can putter around the house and catch up on chores. At least, that’s the plan!
It's early, but I'm up-and-at'em.
It was a VERY rough evening for me...constantly fighting food.
I was exhausted and went to bed at 8:30.
Today, I'm up and heading to a 7:30OA meeting...silly me...I don't have to fight this alone!!
I have YOU guys, and I have OA meetings!!
Silly me...
It's a busy day today but WHEN I eat is planned out, but not sure WHAT yet...
7am lc scones
10:30am lc goulash
3pm dlb burger, 1/2 bun (this is a guess, we'll be out and about)
7pm greek chix salad?? (again, unsure as we'll just be getting home)
iced coffee will be in there somewhere
So, I have a meeting at 7:30, a movie at noon, a baby shower at 3:30.
A full day...I will not have TIME to think about food (I hope!!).
But, at least I will be MOVING today instead of sitting around depressed.

{{{Amy}}} So sorry you are struggling right now. My thoughts are with you.
I am on and off with exercise. I basically don't like it, but know it is healthy for me so I commit to it, then fall off the wagon, then recommit. I just don't seem to have found the right thing for me that I enjoy enough to stick with. Good thing I'm active in taking care of the poultry and keeping up the property. Otherwise I'd be a real couch potato!
I'll be making a dump run today so loaded the truck yesterday--good upper body exercise. The dog is already pestering me -- he knows the destination of all that stuff in the truck and can't wait to experience the new smells and such.
On-plan foodwise and plan on staying on-plan. Have a great day, everyone! :)

Atta girl! Do what you know you need.
Not to give advice, but since I know you so well, I will. :D When I get cravings and start feeling out of control, I drop down to just protein for a while. I am not good at handling cravings, so I just bail.
I like this forum, which has replaced my OA meeting. My small town only has one left and it's in the morning--not so good for a working woman. Last I looked, there wasn't much recovery going on either. I'm doing better right here! :)
Hey, I'm getting a thunderstorm, and it wasn't supposed to rain until after noon! They promised! I've got lots to do inside, so I guess it doesn't matter.
The Geezer just offered me breakfast out. Ciao!

Good for the Geezer !! You didn't bowl him over on your way out the door , did you??:D
My dh is golfing again today. It really has been so nice I don't blame him a bit. But he also has plans for us to go out to dinner this evening where some friends sing and play in a band. That ought to be fun and something to look forward too.
I'm glad I feel better than I did yesterday altho I still don't feel really great. I did get my exercise out of the way and don't need to stress over getting that done.
Have a great week end everyone.

If movement is all those things today I am really on a positive swing. I just sat down for the first time since 7 this morning. I am really wiped-out!
Everything seems to be going really well except that I am NOT losing an ounce but I'm not giving in either. Going to give March a good run for it's money. Maybe I'll be able to get a couple of pounds off. Would be super.
What is an OA meeting? Really feel like a foreigner sometimes. All these acronyms.
AMY! you can do it girl. Don't give up on us!
nice rest of weekend to you all! I'm off to read a little and to rest my body before I have to cook dinner in an hour.

I exercised--I did a workout that I did a week and a half ago--it was a lot easier. I feel really optimistic about that. I think I have a lot less cravings on the days I don't work out, though. Just knowing that ahead of time should help. I think I want to go to a two day on-one day off schedule. Then I always have something to look forward too. I do mostly core, yoga, and resistance.
breakfast lunch, and dinner were the same as yesterday, and come to think of it, I even just had the same snack!!
One thing that was different was that I didn't have as much chicken at lunch, so I followed it up w/a protein shake. I was a lot hungrier. I think I need to forget about the shakes and stick with real food.
I've gotta find a way to like eggs--because they're cheap and I'm poor.
I am happy to be a pound or two lighter, but boy is it frustrating when you just have 15 pounds or so to lose. Last time I did this, I was 50 pounds overweight, and the results were so fast and encouraging! I think it's going to be a long battle until I'm in swimsuit shape. But if I'm consistent, I should be there by summer. I look in the mirror--and I wish I could just cut my stomach off!! Dang c-section (almost five years ago-lol).

OA is OverEaters Annonymous (SP?)
Amy has done a lot of speaking for the group she belongs to - I believe. She can tell you more about it - when she comes back.

Good Saturday Campers!
Amy, I think discovering that we are about to melt is half the battle, maybe even more. Do you know what the trigger was? Emotional? Physical? Craving? Sometimes I think discovering what set me off is good.
I had a moment this AM. Got on the scale and it was up 4 lbs. Now I knew it couldn't be that way, but I am sick of those moments. We went out to eat last night, to a Greek restaurant, I was off program but not 4 lbs worth!
I had a cosmo, one small portion of Greek salad, which was just cut off fresh veggies in an EVO. Dinner I choose, shrimp on skewers and did eat the rice that came with it. No dessert, no bread.
I really was like what the heck but somehow I got through it Amy, and what I did was give myself X amount of time, and then went to the gym. Got a haircut, came home and decided the scale was wrong and it wasn't going to bug me, so i did get back on which is something I really don't do, and it was only 1 up for the middle of the day instead of 4 this AM. So feeling much better. But on another day, I might have thought what the heck!
Hugs all around!

Well, I didn't feel like going out to dinner tonight so we stayed home and just pieced here and there. My stomach has been hurting yesterday and today. There's always tomorrow !!

Evenin' folks. I've been in lurker mode today, dealing with various body parts in pain and doing housework (rearranged the kitchen counters so I could get to my supplements in the mornings among other things).
Fighting a headache (and losing as I've had it over an hour) so quick post for my totals then drugs and bed.
Protein: 137
Carbs: 42
Water: 88 ounces - and I just realized that's short of my goal, will get another glass before bed to make it 104
Supps: MgK (several)
Exercise: planned off
Will see you folks tomorrow!

Morning all!
Yes, I slept off my headache. Now I have to hope it stays away. Going to increase my magnesium uptake some and see if that helps any (now that I have the bottles where I'll remember them ;) )
Breakfast was hard boiled eggs, bacon and 1 Kashi TLC pumpkin spice flax bar.
Lunch will be soup + extra chicken
Dinner is supposed to finally be the Baton Rouge we keep putting off :)
I need to take DD1 to AC Moore today (or maybe Michaels) to find some t-shirts for her physics project (something to do with costumes - I'm along to pay, no clue).
I'm hoping to get outside some today, we've had beautiful weather but I've been cooped up in the house doing much needed stuff (or at work :( ).
Will check back in later.

I'm here...and the depression is lifting (thanks to a wonderful meeting).
Yes, Overeaters Anonymous...its what I use to fix my HEAD, and I fix my BODY by following PP.
We're about to head out for a walk...just like Billie, I need to start MOVING or I'll sit around wallowing. A two mile walk...it's something.
I have a food plan today...I'll do my best to stick to it.
9am 1 medium apple (it was getting old)
10:30am 2 eggs with mush, cheese, s.cream, salsa, 2sausage patties
2pm cottage cheese and bran crackers
6pm 6oz turkey, creamed caulilflower, lettuce salad, white wine

Hi all, finally got to the puder today and thought I would check in. DD was over and we had a nice, but very windy walk for 35 min. Felt mighty nice out there in the sun shine, after an early morning bout with tornado warnings.
I'll check in later, have fun.

Hi, everyone! Went to a trade fair today and just got home an hour or so ago to find the grandblessing here for the night. It's raining torrents, so there is a wrestling match going on in my small living room right now.
Breakfast was three sausage patties in the car on the way. Lunch was two hot dogs (not even polish dogs!:tear:) with a scoop of chili and no bun. I brought along a bag of almonds & walnuts for a snack. Dinner was six little chicken wing joints and a salad.
Have a good evening! I don't know if I'll have the opportunity to get back later or not.

Dinner is going to be chicken roll-ups with spinach and sour cream, sugar free jello with a tad bit of pineapple.
Went to the gym, do you know how I dislike the stair stepper! But did it for 10 minutes, than did lower body resistance and ended with 2 miles on the bike. Have a few calls in the morning, but my plan is to spend a long work out tomorrow afternoon at the gym.

Hi, ya'll,
Better late than never, I am here for the March challenge, the habit I am working on is EXERCISE. I am going to incorporate it into my daily life, that is exercise in addition to the walking I do at my job.
Busy with grad school started, even on line, but am hanging in there.
Going to be a grandma in July 09, our son is having a baby girl! Our family has so few girls. Whoo, hoo, the first great-grand child is a girl.
Great weekend , heading off to "hike" at the state park nearby. You all know how I love those trails over there.
Later,
Claudette

Had a lovely weekend -- a trip to the dump yesterday then the laundromat (such fun I have!). Went out to eat after church to a pasta place that just opened. I had a Caesar salad but asked for grilled shrimp. Wow! Was it good. 10 large shrimp grilled with a zesty seasoning, four strips of grilled portabello mushrooms on a bed of romaine lettuce. I opted for the house dressing, but next time will probably go with the Caesar. Following my principle of the "three bite rule" I had a small piece of bread dipped in flavoured oil. Really good. But unfortunately this afternoon I began to graze -- not too bad, but that is the habit I'm working on, so it's back to the drawing board on that one. Actually I'm blaming the time change as it should be dark by now -- the long afternoons really get to me.
Have a great week, everyone.

Evenin' all.
I came in a hair short on my protein today (well over based on the old minimum, but not Dr. Mikes newest recommended). I'm not remotely hungry so not gonna force food just to make up a few grams.
Protein: 127
Carbs: 48
Supps: yes
Water: 122
Exercise: planned off day

Done eating today...I made it through the day.
