Hi, y'all,
I can't believe I am posting first today. No great words of wisdom, just working the PP plan daily with exercise to try to reach my goal.
If I messed up, someone just move my post to the right day, please.
Today, was a 30 minute hike in a nearby state park. Those trails are great, 50 ft or so inclines, it is interval training at it's best. Later, 40 minutes of toning Callanetics, they are gentle but always "whip" me. Still, I like the changing shape in the mirror they give.
Scale was good again today, down 0.4 of a lb. Size 10's are actually loose!
Todays menu:
brunch: boar's head bologna & low salt ham, tossed green salad w/ veggies, lc dressing, small piece of watermelon.
snack- gouda cheese, celery sticks
dinner-baked pork chops, zuccinni w/ roasted tomatoes, green salad, sf chocolate pudding, tea.
Well, back to the books,
Hugs,
Claudette

Hard to believe, Claudette, but there's no other Saturday activity! I couldn't get online because I had just enough time to get to where I was going this morning. Thanks for starting. :) Oh, I added "weekend" to the title so that it will last through tomorrow.
Hiking and callanetics was double-duty, but loose britches is your reward. Great going!

Sure has been skimpy this weekend hasn't it !! I think the better weather has us all out doing stuff we couldn't do this winter.
We had a 25th anniversary party to go to last night and enjoyed that very much. They had all sorts of food there, but we ate beforehand so didn't have to worry about it. We got cheese and a bit of fruit so did munch on that. Oh yes and they had some little smokies wrapped in bacon that were very good. No cake or dessert even for my dh who usually has that when we are at a party . (I think his pants are getting a bit snug these days so he is watching it) He's been more interested in walking lately too. That's good !!
Um...I kinda lost it yesterday...the words carb-fest come to mind...:o
Back on plan today. Meals are planned, menu is ready for the upcoming week. I have brunch plans with some friends, but then I'm home to do what ever I want! A FREE day!! I never get a free day!!! woohooooo

Good morning, all. :) I had a great time at the consecration of our new bishop. But my decision to eat off-plan only one meal went definitely haywire. The first luncheon was croissant sandwiches with fruit and peach cobbler. I ditched half the bread and had two bites of cobbler, but still higher carb than I had intended. The supper was a great buffet, and I was more on-plan than off, but definitely overdid the wine (thankfully we were bussed to and from the event). The breakfast and lunch the following day were complete disasters. Egg/ham/cheese casserole made with a bread base -- no way of picking that apart, and I won't mention the fabulous cheese biscuits . <sigh> Then the lunch -- well, let's just say I went completely bonkers over the coconut chicken, spring rolls, pineapple based cheeseball, chocolate dipped strawberries and perfiteroles (sp?).
My weight is up 4 lbs. over goal, and since it has been for a week, I figure this is pretty much my true weight. So beginning this morning, I'm back to Intervention levels for as long as it takes to lose the extra pounds plus 3 so I have a bit of wiggle room. Unfortunately this is so typical of me --every time I get to or close to goal weight I end up sabotaging myself. I usually gain 20 or more lbs. before coming to my senses, but I am determined this time will be different.
Have a great Sunday, everyone. :)

Me too BC. I usually let it go much longer than I should , then have more to lose. I am trying to keep a tight rein on this time so that won't happen to me again. I want a little wriggle room too.

Hi, y'all,
Carol, glad you added weekend to my post.
BC, I tend to do the same thing you do, except I haven't gotten anywhre near my goal, I tend to get a few lbs lighter, then go into the tank. I am trying not to let that happen this time.
Karole, every time I read your post, see how much you have lost, I am inspired.
Ammy, don't worry about yesterday, you are back on track today.
I am going to make your scones tonight, eating a bite of DH's today made me want one I could really eat without feeling guilty.
Here is my menu:
B-whey protein shake w/ hood lc milk, coffee w/ T half & half, bite of DH's scone.
L-MEXICAN FOOD restaurant, but I survived.(DH really wanted to go).
chicken fajajitas with lettuce, tomatoe, salsa, some queso, quacomole, just a few tortilla chips, bite of DH's sopilla.
S-few cherry tomatoes, gouda cheese, 1 oz.
D- home made chicken salad w/ tossed green salad, sf jello, tea.
Hope you all are having a great weekend.
Hugs,
Claudette

(((Amy))) I hear ya, yesterday I completely fell off the turnip truck too. Today is the beginning of a new week, and I too have enough planned to get me through.
BC I feel for you, you can do it. Just think of what you have done to get where you have???
After the carb fest yesterday. I decided to have a clean out day.
Breakfast and lunch were strawberry shakes.
Dinner is beef sausage with sauerkraut and asparagus.
My numbers are very low, but I drank till I floated today. Hopefully I will wash through some of the carbbage.
Cal: 606
Fat: 34.9
ECC:12.2
Protein: 59.5
If I do get the urge later I will have another shake!

Hey there, all my compadres!
I just spent three hours playing music with a very eclectic group of people giving a benefit concert. Folk music, blues, country, you name it. I'm tired.
I'd like to put my feet up, but I really need to put a cauli-bake together for the week's lunches. Having some foresight, I cooked up the ground beef and sausage this morning.
Hi, Karole, I tend to think your theory is right. We're having beautiful weather here, but that's not why I'm skimpy. :p
Amy, what happened? Well, anyway, you're back on plan. Good job!
BC, very sensible to dig in your heels and not be drawn farther.
Claudette, you're our anchor this weekend!
Jackie, you slipped in while I was typing this post! Happy weekend!

Claudette, it's so great to have you posting with us more often. I know you have to be extra busy with all the classes and etc. At least you seem to be finding some time to exercise too. That helps so much, doesn't it.
Carol, it sounds like the day was just your cup of tea with all that music going on. Bet you had a good time of it.
Jackie it sounds like instead of just "moving and shaking" today you are also shaking and shaking (strawberry that is!)
Hang in there ms Ammy at least you are back on track--do you know what happened to cause you to crash and burn Sat.?

Thanks for your encouragement, folks. Was still off-plan yesterday even though I determined not to be. Succumbed to some chocolate that should never have been in the house in the first place. For some strange reason, I'm struggling in the late afternoon/ evening. But Monday I start all over again!
Karol and Claudette -- perhaps we should start a "NO MORE" club to help us not regain lost weight!
Amy, your one day carbfest won't derail you. Just get back on track and be the inspiration you are to many of us.
Carol -- thank you so very much for leading this challenge and for the wonderful quotes you keep providing us. You're the best! :D

This is so typical of me to. I am so close to goal...and yet had a carb binge over the weekend. I wonder why we do this? I am with you; this time will be different and I will not go up 20 lbs before I realize that. :)

I made a point of keeping myself busy all weekend doing yard work. I was too busy to think of anything else. :)
