The world is round and the place which may seem like the end may also be the beginning.

Today's the end of one month, but we're already into the attitude of next month. The April Challenge is ready, and it's "come as you are". :)

This has been an interesting month for me, program-wise. I've been doing well with keeping low-carb and my blood sugar shows it. I have been tinkering a little with meds and supplements under the advice of a doctor. My exercise program is good. I think I'm going out like a lion!

Breakfast will be a protein shake. Lunch will be the new cauli-bake with turkey and a little sausage and much less salt. I tasted it last night and it's good. Dinner will be beef and vegetables.

Hope you have a great day today!

You go girl !! You are working the plan and the plan is working !! What could be better!! Those of us with health issues that this woe alleviates reap the benefits when , like you, we stay with it. Good on you. Great example to all of us.

I just read Mitras commitment to the April challenge and I think I'll go back up there and add meditation to my challenges too. It feels so good, relaxes you, and helps with bp so I think it will be a win-win for me to do daily for a month--then we'll see what the results are. (I want soooo badly to get off this last bp med)

Morning ladies...I am still living life on the edge...anywhere from 50 to ??? carbs a day.
And each day I am gaining .5 lb...funny how that happens, eh??

But today I can do this. I only have to worry about today. I only have to follow the plan today. I will worry about tomorrow when it arrives. Today I will work on today.
And today I have a plan. And I'm busy, so I will stick to the plan! I have to, I'm not happy where I am...

7am 1.5lc scone, diet v8 juice
8am cauli-turkey casserole
11:30am lc lasagna, 1/2 head romaine
4pm 2oz cheese, crackers
7pm 5oz ground beef, 1lc bread

Pro: 140.3
Ecc: 25.5
Fat: 141.6
Cal: 2082

My plan today is to follow my plan. That's it. Nothing difficult...just stick to the plan...

Oh, it's snowing here...a lot....I hate spring.

(I want soooo badly to get off this last bp med)So do I, but since I've dropped the diuretic mine's gone up ten points--still below the high normal line. :( Plus some puffiness around the ankles by the end of the day. I'll give it till the weekend and if it doesn't improve, I guess I'll restart the diuretic. :p

Hi, y'all,

Ammy, way to go, day by day. Gosh, you have allready lost 100 lbs you can do it. You are such an inspiration.
Karole, you can get off the last b/p med, hang in there girl.
Carol, great going on your blood sugars.

This month, I have stayed on plan, have relost the weight I gained so I am happy. I have discovered this month if exercise is to be a part of my day, I have to do it in the am.

So, here is too a lighter month of April.

Hugs,
Claudette

Good goin Claudette-- I almost have to do my exercises in the morning too or I just fool around and think up one excuse after the other.
It just works better to get it done early and then you feel great for the rest of the day and your metabolism is running rampant as well.
(Hey Shaaadoooow-- is this one worth a point or two???)--just askin:D:D

Good job, Claudette, for staying on plan and making exercise part of your day! :)

I'm leaving in a few minutes and I'm looking forward to letting off some steam at the gym. There have been some changes where I work and not all of them are good ones. I WILL NOT eat over it, but I will take steps. Loud rock music and weightlifting is a mood-raiser for me!

Good choice Carol!!!

I am still on plan for the day. Had to talk myself out of a few "extra's" but I did it (talked myself out of it, not ate it).

I'm about to have my afternoon snack, but I'm working on waiting until I SAID I would eat. Discipline. It's all about discipline with me.

4pm is when I have my snack...I won't die waiting until then...I won't die.

Oh, I just realized I had goulash instead of lasagna for lunch. The carbs are the same, but the protein is less in the goulash.
I will not die.

Okay, I'm checking in with my final counts.
I mostly stuck to my plan...I added one stalk of celery, and I ate goulash instead of lasagna for lunch.

Overall, very happy with my day but I'm heading to bed now before I screw something up!

They say that discretion is the better part of valor. Nothing wrong with a timely retreat, Amy. You can get a good night's sleep! :)

My day was great until I was putting away the leftover beans and rice that I made for the boys. I nibbled. My justification is that there was steak mixed in with it. :p That, and my bs has been running nice and low. There's an alien in me that looks for the slightest opportunity. :paranoid: Tomorrow, I NEAN!

Blood pressure was better today. Under 130. I have hope.

Today was pretty good for me, with one small exception. Breakfast was bacon and protein pancakes, with just a drizzle of sugar free syrup. Lunch was egg salad and celery stalks. Supper was pot roast and peas, and a tablespoon of sunflower seeds. At about 3:00 I had a small apple with some cheese - not the best thing, but far from the worst.

Sandy, having protein with the apple was a good choice. I generally have half an apple at a time, but OTOH it's much better than junk food! :) Puddin is able to get very small apples where she lives and I wish we had them here.

Funny Ammy, I had one of those nights myself...I was thinking, "Well tomorrow is a new month...what is one more day of eating anything I want". That was at about 9pm....after doing so well all day. I opted to dismiss the idea and head straight to bed. I was so happy this morning that I did.
