We all create the person we become by our choices as we go through life. In a real sense, by the time we are adults, we are the sum totalof the choices we have made.Eleanor Roosevelt
Good morning! What are your choices today? Will they take you closer to your goal?

Breakfast will be a protein shake. Lunch will be cauli-bake. Dinner will be something with ground beef.

My agenda today will include a trip to the chiropractor. I hope he hasn't left early for a spring break trip!

Good morning, Carol :). I hope your chiropractor can fit you in.

I think my exercise and meditation will be in the afternoon again - this morning has been a bit disrupted by various things that didn't happen on time (mainly the window cleaner).

I like the idea of our choices shaping the people we become. I hope it's not too late to choose some improvements!

Good morning, Janet. :) I don't think it's ever too late to improve. Otherwise, what would we be working for? Heavens, I'd be stuck where I am!

Good morning everyone!! It is another rainy day here so have not been able to get out much the last couple of days. Eating wise I have been doing very well with keeping my carbs down, but still need to get more protien in. It is all about choices - I will make excellent choices today to get closer to my goal. :)

On another note....Easter is right around the corner!!! I just realized that last night...wow it almost feels like Spring is gone!!

Another day at work...
It's so sunny and bright today (but only 42degrees).
I decided to dress up today and am wearing my brown suit that use to fit me snug. Not super tight, but I had to unbutton it when I sat down and the shoulders were a bit tight.
Fits me fantastic and I look GOOOOOOOD :D:o:D.

Meals are planned. My sister has a layover at my airport tonight so we're going to go sit in baggage claim and visit with her. That will be nice.

7am 1.5deviled egg, diet v8 juice
11:30 1/2 caesar salad with almonds, egg, broccoli
2pm other 1/2 caesar salad, 2oz roasted turkey
6pm lc lasagna, 6oz raw carrots
7pm iced latte DECAF!!

pro: 135.2
ecc: 38.9
fat: 151
cal: 2101

This is a bit high for me...I may change the latte to a decaf tea...we'll see how my hunger level is.

No exercise planned for today.

That is wonderful!!! I bet you feel just as fantastic! I am hoping within the next couple of weeks to be able to fit in my wardrobe from last year - I cannot wait!!

I agree Carol... it's never too late to improve. Thank goodness for that!

I am going to have an industrious day. After my coffee and waking all the way up... which for some reason is kind of hard to do today... I'll have breakfast, exercise, then hit my desk for a few hours of work. Then lunch and more work. For some reason I've been really tired the past few days but I have to work through it. There's nothing physically wrong. I'm just exhausted. Weird. I just have to make sure I don't use it as an excuse not to exercise, which I've done before. In fact, I've been doing that for a long time now.

No, this month is going to be different. I am choosing to make healthy choices every day, all day. I need a squeaky April as a kick start to get out of Bad Habitville, where I have been living too long. I love working the program cleanly. It makes me feel great physically and emotionally. Lighter in both categories. So here's to making good choices today. That I can handle.

Have a great day everyone!

If I didn't believe this I think I would have melted down in despair years ago :exclamation:

Don't it feel good? I remember that feeling - just barely. It was years and years ago, and I had just taken off the few extra pounds I had put on after going on birth control pills before getting married. But, boy did I look good!

Can't wait to get that feeling again!

I've done my exercise and meditation for today, and dinner (parmigiana di melanzane) is all ready to go in the oven once we've both finished for the day. I managed to fit in a walk through the park this afternoon with my new camera .

2/2 so far .

That's a great thought Ocean--now hold on to that idea for a wonderful April (and rest of your life)

I know what you mean about feeling lighter in 2 ways. It really does lift your spirit . Good job.

Hi, everyone! Glad to see you all in such great spirits.

I'm cautiously optimistic about my back. Usually it takes twenty-four hours to get back to normal. My good news is that the doctor isn't going anywhere for spring break next week and so will be available for a tweak if necessary!

I had an unexpected snack this morning (fruit and cheese) so I set my lunch back a couple of hours.

Welcome Vi!
Congrats on getting into the suit Amy.
Hope your back is feeling better soon Carol.

We are back from our Spring Break holiday, the mineral spa was great, the science centre was amazing and the kids drove us nuts!! About right isn't it???;)
Well I must get at making better choices this month, I found that last month I made too many little oppsies that ended up with the month long stall. This month I am starting by doing a detox and getting in some exercise everyday. The exercise I must do in the mornings or it does not get done!!! Therefore, early to bed!!!

Today was:

Strawberry shake (I bought some new powder that had more protein per serving)
chicken caeser salad
Pumpkin shake

Lots of water!!!!!!

Thanks, Jackie. I'm happy to have you back. :)

Dinner was a chili burger, which figured out to 15ecc, but I added some baby carrots to the mix. Normally, that wouldn't be an issue except that I forgot I had fruit for break this morning, so I'm probably pushing the limit. :p It was also too salty.

I'm going to get my meditation in before I start dinner for the second-shifter.

Hi, ya'll,
Great thoughts for today. Thank goodness it is never too late to change.

Vivienne, welcome back. I know just what you mean about doing the program cleanly.

Ammy, way to go on the suit. Doesn't it make you feel go good to get into something smaller.?

Carol, hope your back gets better.

Jackie, glad to see you again.

So busy today, but on plan. Got up too late this am, too late tonight to exercise. I am going to make a concerted effort to plan it in the am tomarrow for sure. All my other goals have been met today.

Here is to a lighter month for us all.

Hugs,
Claudette

Thought I posted this morning... guess not.

I'm having a really rough day emotionally.

I was doing okay foodwise (other than a peanut binge, but still would've been within limits) til dinner. Too upset and too tired to care tonight really.

That's been the norm most of the past 2 weeks though I guess and I've still managed to keep on losing.

My head is an ugly place right now so I'll leave things at that.

Completely on plan today, except I came in just a bit below goal on protein and calories:

Protein 90
Calories 1372
ECC 15.1

Not too bad, though. I can live with these numbers.

I felt so good all day...even noticed I got some "looks" walking down the street. Even had one guy turn his body to keep looking at me...:o...that felt good...:o:D:o

However, we decided to eat at Ikea last night. They were offering a 15meatball meal for $1.99...!!!
So I ate the 15meatballs (1ecc each) and the 3tbsp of lingenberries......I don't even want to know what the carb count was for that. Let's just say they were very sweet...
BUT I only had two small bites of the mashed potatoes and gave the rest to GF.
So...overall not too bad, but not ideal.
