Happy Easter, everyone :).
Okay - enough celebration - let's get moving  ;)!
Started my week with chest, shoulders, triceps and abs/core. Then did a walk and finished up with my PT exercises. Not too shabby for day one, if I say so myself :p.
The rest of the week is along this line:
Sunday - see above
Monday - cardio; PT; PT stretches
Tues - legs; abs; PT stretches
Weds - cardio; PT stretches
Thurs - back & biceps; PT; PT stretches
Plus whatever walks I can fit in along the way...
Now - I want to hear what YOUR schedule for the week will be :)!

Now that Lent is over, I'll be here more regularly. :)
I must admit I've slacked off some lately. Partially due to the very windy weather we've been having, but also do to ... uh, well ... just slacking. But this is a new week and a new start.
My plan is MWF gazelle and tai chi. T-Th-Sa exercise bands for working my wonky shoulder. Sundays off as usual. In addition, I'll get in two or three long (2-3 mile) walks each week, but the days will depend on the wind. It was so bad Thursday a gust actually knocked me down.
Have a great day, everyone.

The slacking is over now that you're back with us and will be checking in, right ;).
My plan is MWF gazelle and tai chi. T-Th-Sa exercise bands for working my wonky shoulder. Sundays off as usual.
Has the shoulder gotten any better, Brigit-Carol? Do you think the bands are helping it at all?
In addition, I'll get in two or three long (2-3 mile) walks each week, but the days will depend on the wind. It was so bad Thursday a gust actually knocked me down.
Way to go getting in that added activity ! While some resistance from the wind is a good thing, you don't want to end up like Mary Poppins, so .... :p!

I know I would benefit from a "plan" for the week, but I have too much on my mind right now. I am doing!!!
I'll fill you in on what I have scheduled to do already:
Sunday: 4 km walk
Monday: 3km walk/run (started walk one minute, run one minute) Kidlet #1 and I finished the 3km in 19 minutes!!!!
Tuesday: 2km walk/run at school, after school dance practice
Wednesday: walk distance?????
Thursday: 2 km walk/run at school
Friday: no plan
I would love to get some core or resistance in there.

That's what counts, Jackie :)! Sometimes structure works - other times it's easier to just wing it ;).

Hopefully that will happen at some point . Just take it as it comes without stressing it, okay :)?
Holy Moly...I AM back this week!!!
I feel wimpy in my "exercise plans" for the week, but since I've been so off plan, I don't want to push the exercise too early into my "recovery".
Monday: Walked 30 minutes
I hope to walk at least 30 minutes every day this week...but we'll see....

Glad you are with us Ammy. I was awol for a bit myself. Now it's back to the salt mines for us both !!
I did my Over 50 dvd for 45 min. (total body work out) and I do feel better after having done it. I also have line dancing practice tonight at 6 p.m. That will be another hour. So today will be good. Resistance and aerobic.

Carol - Saw your post in the other thread.... Way to go on that workout! Doesn't sound lopsided to me at all :). Sometimes it's nice to just focus on opposite parts rather than try to hit everything. And since abductors/adductors rarely get special attention, I think it's great :D.
I miss the gym.....

Okay, gang, where is everyone??????? There are several we haven't heard from lately (Billy, Adina, Sharon, Claudette, Martha) and some we're heard very little from (Jackie, Brigit-Carol) and some that have been here a time or two but seem to be MIA today (Karole, Carol).
Luckily I've had Sandy and Amy visiting to make me believe there is still SOME M&Sing going on!
PS - If I've missed someone, hope you know what that means! In case you don't ... that means it's been FAR too long since you've joined in !

She really is, but I'm so happy to have her care :)still haven't found a workable solution for weights. I'm hanging in with getting 40 to 50 min fast walking in everyday but I'm missing out, I'm sure.
The moving and shaking thing was pretty literal yesterday. We had a little storm nearby but we're all ok.
I need to figure out how to commute and stop at a gym that isn't closing as I arrive or doesn't feel like I'm missing dinner/going to bed immediately after I finish dinner or the gym.
I'll check the archives tonight to see if anyone has posted a favorite way of doing a home gym.
I know I should be more creative in posting but...it feels a little strange to write, yeah me too or wow same as yesterday;)

Did my Tae Bo today. My new resistance band set should be arriving Friday or Monday. I'm excited, like a kid with a new toy. I'm hoping there are some muscles that I can work with them that I have difficulty with otherwise.
I raked the grass/yard for 45 mnutes. It felt great!

I did a horseback ride in the a.m. and I did 30 min. on the elliptical this p.m. I just forgot to post it. (Love you Shadow):nod:

Gyms are tough - which is why I exercise at home. Plus, it's just me and my weights - not a bunch of distraction to lead me astray, ya know ;)? Anyway, I've added over the years but I have a long step (a flat step w/ risers to use as a bench), a chair (yup, plain old kitchen chair), a stability ball (also called an exercise ball or Swiss ball), various and assundry medicine balls, ankle weights, resistance bands, tubing, and my most favorite and longest held friends - my dumbbells. However, I started with just a couple of dumbbells - the collection has just grown since then ;).
I know I should be more creative in posting but...it feels a little strange to write, yeah me too or wow same as yesterday;)

I'm here!! Well, I don't have a really convincing excuse for not being around for so many days. I tried to M&S but it was not very realistic with holidays & my Parents staying here. I did something on Sunday (15 min of Tae Bo + 5 min abs), Monday (10 min Thighs + 10 min Arms + 5 min Stretch), and Tuesday (25 min stationary bike) but then we had two days of major holidays (no exercise for me) and here I am... Will work harder, promise! (I have to get rid of those post-Pesah 2 lbs! & of course, I do think about my health :D)
Friday - 15 min Tamilee's buns + 10 min Power Stretch
Have a great day, all of you!

Hi all, today was 20 min. on the elliptical so far. Who knows something else might come up later. Not outside tho, as we have a drizzly day doing its thing and it sure is a different day than yesterday was.
At least I'm not sore today -- I guess a lot of stretching plus a few short rides we took earlier in the month helped me out there. It sure was a lot of fun.

Whynot - Hello :). First of all, I think we need some more information. How long have you been doing low carb? Are you still doing Atkins or are you now following Protein Power? Did you mean you had carbs for your run yesterday or did you mean you felt like lead without the carbs ?
