Good morning, Carol :).
I'll do my meditation and exercise this afternoon. Sometimes I can keep up with them just out of habit for a while, but if I don't keep my eye on the goal, the habit usually starts to drop off sooner or later. The goal changes, but somehow the things I have to do to reach it are usually much the same :).

I proved that to myself last week when I didn't have my regular schedule. The goal changes, but somehow the things I have to do to reach it are usually much the same :).I agree, and accept that. Much to his chagrin, the Geezer has come to the realization that every aspect of good health revolves around "diet and exercise", both of which interfere with his preferred lifestyle.

I think today it's actually going to be Spring. The birds were chirping madly this morning in a light rain and we're supposed to make 60F this afternoon with sunshine. That cheers me right up! :)
Morning all.
Well, I have ONE day under my belt.
Today may be more of a struggle........day two and three can be very hard for me.
But I have to do this.
One good thing. I'm wearing a dress that cuts just above the knees and "flows"...so i wanted to wear a slip under it, and all my slips were too big!! :D That is such a nice feeling and I want it to happen more often, which means I have to DO this again!
Tomorrow I weigh...haven't weighed since the 9th, and then it wasn't good...:frown:
8:30am egg/ham souffle, diet v8 juice
10:30 1/2 apple
12:00 lc goulash, lettuce wedge
3pm iced latte, 2deviled eggs
6:30pm 5oz pork chop, 1/2 can cr of mush soup, 1cup cauliflower
8pm 1deviled egg, 1.5oz peanuts
I plan on raking today and will need that evening snack. If I don't rake, no snack.

At work, busy with taking people's salary to pay for their misdeeds with the company credit card. Amazing how many people wind up in these straits and how many are high salaried and how many are based in the National office. Suggests a pattern that might be worthy of preventive enforcement.
Have some other tasks as well.
Shake is done.
Peanuts for snacking.
Chicken for lunch.
I dunno what for dinner. Last night I did a cup of cottage cheese for dinner. Was a little sad but just didn't feel like cooking anything.

Hi, have had a busy morning . First dd#2 called and talked and talked. Before she hung up dd#1 came over to visit toting along 2 great grand blessings with her. She stayed for about an hour and then dh and I went for a horseback ride in the beautiful spring weather. Wonderful out today.
So altho I had planned to have my exercise out of the way by now it isn't done yet as I plan to do the elliptical for at least 20 min. I have a doctor appt. this p.m. so when I do it is not certain just yet.
But the eating is going just fine. So far.
I just had lunch with some friends...and we sat OUTSIDE!!!!
It's 61 degrees!
I took off my sweater and my knee-high boots and soaked in some Vitamin D!!!!
It was wonderful!
Now I'm back inside, and it's not so wonderful...
Better get busy...still on plan though!

Yea!
We have the Chicago Tea Party going on on the plaza today. A radio guy has assembled his thousands and they are complaining about the economy, the state of their taxes, and our "Muslim" president. Making work hard to get done.
I'm opting for the iPod for this afternoon's work.

Hello,
Had to go to a client site this morning to lead a workshop, so was up and out earlier than I'm used to. That meant that I was done with my breakfast early and RAVENOUS by lunch. This was not good b/c I met DH for lunch at a restaurant and was easily convinced to try a new Indian buffet we'd heard of. I had a delicious meal, but am now having to account for the food I ate .
Even though I focused on eating the curried chicken, tandoori chicken, and LC veggies as I usually do at Indian buffets, at this restaurant the naan was placed not at the buffet for me to ignore but at the table to taunt me. I succumbed to one piece.
Now I'm having a hard time knowing how to account for the nutritional information in Fitday. And from what I was able to figure out, it looks like my meal cost me about 50 g ECC.
There goes my daily total!!
Therefore, for dinner, I plan to eat ZERO carbs - as in, just fish or meat, so as to stop the damage from spreading.
I think I have to shun Indian food for a while (it's my favorite, too...):(
And I didn't get to work out today. Sux.

I had a pretty good day, today--but can't for the life of me come up with a dinner idea based on the things in my magic box (refrigerator.) I think I'm living an episode of 'Chopped.' I've got fresh kale and beautiful pencil-thin stalks of asparagus, some roma tomatoes, a lot of greek yogurt, some cheese, chicken livers, eggs and a steak. Do NOT really want to cook when I get home, and leaving the laptop at work so I can drop off the car in the a.m.
I've had a protein shake, a scoop of cottage cheese, and a chicken ceasar salad. Not nearly enough food, but not in the mood to eat. And I'm still *really* sore from training agility for two hours on Monday night, so my daily exercise has been five flights of stairs and a LOT of stretches. ;)
Early morning planned, so good night, all!

Yes, that *was* the plan...
I was prepared a lovely sushi meal by my kids and husband - first time they ever made it by themselves at home. Such excitement! I planned to eat just sashimi - raw fish, tuna and salmon, and maybe touch of avocado.
Here's the twist: my boys really really wanted me to sample the maki rolls they made... Please mom, you have to try mine, no try mine...
So I had 3 pieces of maki - do you believe that in Fitday, that comes out to 21g ECC!!
Tomorrow needs to be a very clean day. Today is down the drain. Overall, I had a very healthy day - I didn't really eat 'junk'. Just way higher carbs than I can afford to eat.
Ending stats:
ECC 81.8g
Prot 132.4g

It looks pretty good. It's hard to say if the fat content is too high - it depends on your size and energy requirements. For me at 5' 2" and at maintenance it would be just a touch on the high side, but if you're taller, and still some way from your goal, it could be fine. Also, it may be that you had quite a high fat day today, but if tomorrow's menu has more chicken/fish it could be quite a bit lower so it would average out fine. My average fat intake is about 90g, but individual days vary between 50g and 120g.

Well, here I am in my one-eyed glory just to tell everyone that Italy is still shaking and moving in the mid parts while the north just seems to be enjoying a lot of rain which never seems to bother anyone in my area because as they say here, 'every drop is a barrel!'.
PP is doing great. Am really enjoying my roasts, my Italian pork products, STRAWBERRIES!!!!!! and last but not least the wonderful first fresh Spring greens. Weight is always at 158lbs. No problem! Can live with that because I'm feeling wonderful in spite of my darned eye.
The 'gelatine' in my eye is stil trying to settle but it has formed a little curtain right in front of the pupil so that I see everything sort of distorted. Next week appt with doc to see if I have lost some vision. Keep fingers crossed.
Glad to hear everyone is finally getting outdoors in some Spring-like weather. We're really lucky cus the weather has been superb until today. After a good dousing we should get some really great weather over the weekend so that I will be able to continue my gardening.
Won't be long before I'm in the STates. REally looking forward to that!

Ideally, I try to keep my protein/fat grams even. It doesn't always happen, but that's what I aim for.
So for ME...I would have lowered the protein and raised the fat if possible.
Even it out...130 of each.

LulaZula:
Couple things:
1- Don't bother trying for "zero" to make it all up... it doesn't really work like that. Just get yourself back in the flow with a 7-10g carb meal and some protein and you'll be back in the flow. High then zero is a recipe for chalking two meals, not just one.
2- You might want to have a talk with the husband and the kids about what you're up to and what that means. Cool that your boys are making Sushi, but sushi rice doesn't mix well with low carb. Very small doses of very fast carbs... I freaking LOVE rice. One of my favorite things to eat when I am off plan is rice. It is fast carb, with little in the way of nutrition, and the total carbs mount very quickly with it. When I am on plan, it is not in my vocabulary. This isn't a lecture, it's a couple suggestions... if you are serious about this, you might not want to eat non-protein things that you don't know the carb count for... and if you are serious about this, you will get your husband (and even your kids) to help you, rather than give you white rice. It's a wonderful moment, but it's not in harmony with your goal.
As for me:
Protein: 230g (need to cut the next set of steaks like I am a French person, rather than a Texas Rancher)
Carbs: ~25
Total Cal: ~2050 (big ass steak tends to do that)
Water: Good
Fitday: Done
Report: Complete now.

Thank you, thank you, it tickled me so much, that to think about it today made me giggle. For it to really be "chopped," the kale and asparagus can be in the basket, the rest available pantry stock but the 3rd has to be ginger or kumquats or...
Thanks again, and haven't we all, fortunately, my chef career isn't on the line.
