50 minutes at Curves!!!!! I'm still sore from Wednesday's 80 minutes of exercise (30-walk, 50-Curves).

I'd planned to go swimming today, but an upset stomach and back pain prevented it. (I think my back will be better my tomorrow, thank god; the last time I hyper-extended the muscles along my thoracic spine it took two months of physical therapy and massage to correct. Bloody waitressing!) I feel guilty not having done my laps for three days now--it's finally become habit. :D

I'm mostly hibernating and conserving strength (physical and emotional) until after my brother's surgery next week, but I did go to the Y last night and did 10 minutes on the bike, my weight circuit, and 15 minutes on the cross trainer. Back to hibernation.

I thought Curves advertised that it was a 30-minute exercise program?

Yesterday, we were absolutely nuts!!

Early in the morning, we took the dogs and ran around a local lake (4.2 km) Took about 25 minutes (can't remember exactly).

That afternoon, we walked around downtown to drop our son's bike off at the repair shop and get a couple things. Then we went to the gym for a work out.

After that, we came back and ran for 40 minutes with the dogs on an old rail bed (trail) that we hadn't been on before. It was sort of tough, because of the loose rocks underfoot, and it was up-grade on the way out (but didn't seem that much easier coming back).

Curves does advertise that; at the facility I'm at that means 2-1/2 times around the circuit. My Virgo just can't handle that odd amount so I go 3 times around and also do some of the machines longer than the normal amount. Also, I stretch more than is required. Anyway, my sessions seem to take 50 minutes!
