How accurate is the calculation using waist minus wrist measurements for determining body fat? I've searched the web and can't find anything.
Thanks

Not as accurate as a DEXA scan or a displacement weighing. As good as the Army or Navy formula or any of the other formulae out there that use body measurements. Much better than BMI or any formula that uses that. Probably a little better than a Tanita scale.

There are a variety of ways to estimate body fat using just a measuring tape and scale. The one that is spot on for me (compared to calipers & tank weighing) is:

I'm hour-glass shaped and my wrists/forearms and neck never carried much fat.
But there are other methods that work better for other types of female (F) and male (M) physiques.

The range can be astounding if you calculate all the different ways.
