Okay you slackards  I certainly hope I soon see someone here with a report !!!!!

Am I making anyone feel guilty yet???????

man, it must be that party we missed the invite, again. It's the same old for me, nothing added. I've kept Karole's miles, just cause I can and remain in the walk till you drop club...(maybe a founding member, I'm not sure.) Let me know if you get the invite to the other one; who knows maybe you need a sponsor or something.

Hi you two--looks like its us and only us. I was absent yesterday as I didn't do much to report on -- I tried a walk but it was just too hot and muggy so it only lasted 10 min.

Today was much better and dh and I got out for a nice little old 30 min. walk on our country road around 7 p.m. but then I forgot to report in. Sorry Mam, Sir, er ... Shadow.:D:D ( I didn't know you'd come after us so quickly)

Thanks again, Martha for keeping me going "cyberly" while I was down and out with the back. I think I am doing okay now but will be leaving in a few days for a 10 day trailride so will get my exercise riding and mucking and a bit of walking too when I can.

I'm starting my exercise week today. Same as usual: five sessions of yoga, and probably some walks with my husband.

If I hear from the chairman or get an invite, I'll definitely let you know :p!

Hi everyone! If you don't mind I would love to join this discussion board. I have been on the challenge board for several months now...and finally I am ready to get myself more active to hopefully lose these last few pounds and then continue with maintenance.

I am going to start off a bit slow and then when I get to maintenance increase my workouts and possibly join a gym. I would like to get involved in strength training eventually. For now the plan is: 30 minutes minimum walking with my dog M-F. Saturday and Sunday some fun activities, whether a hike in the mountains, swimming, or going for a bike ride.

Happy Monday!!:)

Peeking in before you call out my name, Shadow! My bag is packed and ready for the gym on the way home tonight. I will do both upper and lower body exercises tonight because I have a dental appointment after work tomorrow. :p

Yes, you are :o!!
Fortunately I have nothing (or at least not much) to fear for as I started my M&S yesterday. It's really weird but it looks that I have a full week programme again :D:
Sun - cardio flex band workout (my new 30 min. DVD with a band - gosh, how it made me sweat!) + afternoon swimming
Mon - cardio (10 min) + abs, hips (10 min) + upper body (10 min) + stretch (5 min) + afternoon swimming

OK, so on Tuesday there is cardio & lower body & basic Pilates and on Wednesday upper body and stretching. Thursday is off (a fast day), and I'll do some cardio & abs on Friday. I 'll try to check in and report during the week. I plan to do this programme for another 2-3 weeks and then mzybr go back to the Bar Method or Callanetics for the rest of August.

Hi again, I just got back from a 35 min. walk with dh. It really looked and sounded like it could start raining but we went anyway. Luckily it didn't go anywhere. I also made several trips to the camper carrying stuff for the trailride so that should be considered resistance !!

I did the deed yesterday as I planned. After three days off, I was able to up some of the weights by 5#. I've noticed that before, so it must be normal. Did some extra on the arc trainer because there was a good song on the mp3 and I didn't want to waste it. ;)

Thanks for the well wishes, I appreciate it. I just couldn't stay cooped up so figured I get outside for even just a few blocks.

It's my cat's fault (yes the one pictured in my avatar). Her name is Persephone, or as I like to call her Persephone Destroyer of Plants.

She tripped me in the middle of the night. And after reading the following I'm convinced she was trying to kill me :slywink:

The Cat's Diary
Day 983 of My Captivity
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am. Morons!

http://www.goodeatsfanpage.com/Humor/otherhumor/evilcat.gif
There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now ...

Hope you'll get well soon!

I did my plan in the morning: 10 min cardio (Kickbox Bootcamp - I like it a lot but still have some troubles with some movements when it's fast) + 20 min lower body (thighs & buns) + 8 min Basic Pilates. We went swimming in the afternoon but I did less swimming than usual, I felt strangely tired so it was not the same pleasure (even if the water was great). We'll see you tomorrow!

Having suffered many pet-related injuries, I am not the least bit surprised to know how it happened :p.

Thankfully Persephone is not a dog that you're trying to take out while you're on crutches. Imagine the shape you would be in then !

I did some stretches and exercises for my back today but just as we were going to go for our walk the rain started big time and so we had to cancel. It's actually still raining right now. Wow this has got to be a record week of rain for us here for July. Nice temps and plenty of moisture.

I wish you were right, Shadow! Will try this Kickbox Bootcamp cardio section (mind, the easiest one!) on Friday. Hopefully it'll improve with practice.

I did 15 min of upper body + 10 min abs & hips + 10 min stretch this morning. Swimming was great today and I felt fine.
We are just about to start the meal before the Fast (the fast starts this evening and finishes tomorrow evening), tomorrow is my day off. See you on Friday!

Good Evening Everyone,

I'm a bit late joining but hope you don't mind my coming along. I'm a fairly new at the LC thing and have posted a couple of things in the other forums but would like to join in here. I am currently training for a 120 mile bike ride for a charity event coming up in Sept. and could really use some
accountability! Plan to ride 40 miles tomorrow, 30 Sun.
