It has been 9 years since I lost 35lbs on the PPPlan. I am at home sick and can not find my book. If I post height weight measurements would someone on here tell me what my protein and carb intake are suppose to be. I so need to loose this weight. I am 5ft 3 inches and weight 150lbs. Please please help me. I read the old book and mainly my Mom let me know what to eat and gave me ideas. I just have such a hard time i can go a day or so but then i need baked sweets. I am so depressed over this.

Welcome back.
I don't have my book out at the moment, but I'm 5' 2" and started at 145 lbs, so it would be about the same. I think it was 27g protein per meal (so 81g per day). That number stays the same until you get to somewhere around 115, when it drops to 21g per meal.
For me, the original PP book gave a number closer to the 21g all the way through.
For carbs, the advice is the same regardless of size: 7 - 10g per meal, about 5g for a snack, for a total of about 40g per day.
You should find some recipes in the recipe section that will help you while the craving for baked sweets settles down - it's better not to overdo even the LC versions, but they work to help you make the adjustment and as a treat from time to time.

Hey, Cheryl, welcome back! The first step is the hardest, and you've made it. If you can hang on past day three the cravings usually back off. Spending time with us on this forum will help you stay focused. :)

Cheryl,
As Mitra says, the carb amount is the same for everyone and its really the important number. Stay under 40g ecc (remember that's the carbs - the fibre) As far as protein goes, if you don't know your minimum right now, don't worry its the minimum. You can, and most of us do, eat more than that anyway. Try to get at least 80g a day and you'll be fine. Don't forget to take in some good healthy fats, that will also help keep you feeling full longer. There's more to it, but that's a great start.
Welcome back! :)

Thank you all so much. Is that 3 or 4 ounzes of protein a meal? The cravings are a night mare and to top it off I am hooked on Pumpkin Spiced lattes from Star Bucks. This is so bad and I am just putting the weight on very fast. Today 151lbs. I have been canning all summer, and that has been stress getting it all done.

I believe she said, 21 grams per meal equaling to approximately 83g a day of protein.
At starbucks, to help reduce your cravings and cut out the sugar. You might try a flavor they have and order a sugar free breva, which use cream instead of milk. I don't think they have pumpkin spice. (but im sure you could find one in the devince brand at the store) Then try to tapper that down even more to as few times a week as possible. Gosh their expensive to drink on a daily basis.
My cravings do stop about day 3 too. Eating proper amounts of fats/protein and limiting my vegetable selection to low carb veggies, such as brocoli, asparagus or green salad. Replacing dressing with olive oil of course.
Low carbing is a process, so stick to it and you will see your goals.
You can do it!:)

Thank you all so much. Is that 3 or 4 ounzes of protein a meal?
Yes, it is. Meats are about 7g of protein per oz, eggs are about 6g (for a whole egg, whites are 4g), hard cheese is 6-7g/oz and soft cheese 3-4g/oz and curd cheese (cottage etc) is 7g/.25 cup.
You can mix and match proteins to get to your minimum, ie: have eggs and cheese together (2eggs + 1.5 oz of cheese) and so on. Try not to go too crazy with cheese though, its very calorie dense. I often have hard boiled eggs and a smokie sausage for breakfast, great combo (to me ;)).
I like sweet chai tea but by using Davinci (sugar free flavouring) and almond breeze (milk made from almonds) I can make a substitute at home that is fabulous.
Hope this helps,
Jilly

How is it that youd get that little in one meal? I'm confused... heh

As always, protein number is a floor, not a ceiling or a target. Meet or exceed at every meal.

Is that 3 or 4 ounzes of protein a meal? No, it is 3-4 ounces of protein-containing food per meal (not 3-4 oz of protein). 3-4 oz of meat/fish/eggs weigh ~100g, with each ounce of protein-containing food containing ~7g of protein. So 3-4 oz of meat/fish/eggs contain 21-28g of protein for a total of 63-84g/day (not 257-342g/day) of protein.

I took her question to mean 3-4 oz of protein containing food.... but perhaps should not have assumed that's what she meant.
