If you can imagine it, you can achieve it; if you can dream it, you can become it.William Arthur Ward
Are you achieving your October Challenge goal? Keep at it and don't let discouragement derail you! We're more than halfway through.

Breakfast will be a protein shake. Lunch will be sausage and carrots. Dinner will be a beef roast and green beans.

Dream?? Right now I'm still working on keeping my bike upright...but I am pedaling.
I made it through yesterday, and I was faced with a full turkey dinner. I skipped stuffing, mashed tators, and pie and instead enjoyed the turkey, mashed cauliflower, and asparagus. I did have 1/2glass of OJ with Malibu rum (MMMMmmm)...I wanted wine but wasn't offered any, so instead, the mixed drink. It was very very yummy...but not for me as I'm sure the carbs were too much.

Today I have a plan. I am going to stick to my plan today. I've already decided!!

8am 2hb eggs, flatout with 2hot dogs, diet v8 juice
11:30am lc goulash, 1med cuke
3pm 1/2 apple, 2oz cheese
6pm 7oz roast beef with rutabega/onion/carrots

Pro: 136.6
Ecc: 42.4
Fat: 121.4
Cal: 1919

I think I'm keeping fairly well to the October goal. Progressing in a positive direction anyway. :)

I have a large thermos of shakes with me at work and dinner will be salmon and something.

Positive direction is good! ;) I was going to try making the shake at home with an addition of unflavored gelatin to carry to work, but I never got around to it. I might still do it to see how it is.

Slow day at work--I don't know how to handle it. I think I'll clean out a file or something. This hardly ever happens! :jawDrop:

Sticking to the plan.

Breakfast was a linguica omelet. Lunch will be a protein shake. Still gotta figure out what dinner will be. My DH and DS will be having chinese and that just doesn't work for me. I may use it as an excuse to get some wings...:slywink:

Making it through the day so far.
I'm about to have my snack...real (aged) cheddar cheese straight from the Wisconsin cheese shop, and 1/2 an apple.

Mmmmm

D: Breakfast for dinner (flax pancakes, fried eggs, maple's meatballs)An upside-down day, Goose! I like to do that, too.

Who needs an excuse, Kathee! I go out of my way to get them! :)

MmmmmYou got that right, Amy! Yum! What kind of apple?

I'm having a dinner of beef chunks with carrots, mushrooms and green beans. I like one-dish meals. The boys will get barbecued beef slices on buns. I just cut up some beef and turkey jerky for snacks. I'm cutting back on dairy. I'm such a cheese hound! :o

Looks like everybody's safely on track today. Hmmm. That makes me wonder about you folks who haven't posted in a while! Anybody having trouble? :suspicious:

I am getting ready to start the pp program. I just don't know what serving sizes to give to my husband (6'4" - 250lbs) so he needs to be on this program with me. I have read and will be following the 30 day lc solution book. It seems like the meal plan is the small portions. Should I give my husband the small portions or should I increase his portions?

Thank you

Alice, the protein number is the MINIMUM that one should eat. It's okay to increase as needed. No one should be hungry on Protein Power. :)

I think medium- that is what I used and I only weighed 195. It worked very well :)

Ate as planned with some dinner bacon. More than I needed but it was tasty nonetheless.
