Good morning! With quite a few new members on board, it might be helpful to share our favorite low carb snacks today. We all need new ideas. :) I get tired of the same-old same-old myself! What's your favorite?

I'm all packed and I took time to make trail cookies last night. They're dry, but full of protein and go fine with a cup of coffee. I added unsweetened coconut and crushed some almonds to make them more flavorful. The breakfasts at this conference are usually sweets, so now I'm covered. You can find them in the recipe section on the front page of this forum.

See you on Monday! :)

Have a great trip Carol :)

My snacks usually are either cheese or almonds (with or without Lindt). Gonna be interesting when I hit weeks 3/4 on the 6w thing as both are not allowed.

I tend to eat 4 or 5 "mini - meals" per day as oppsed to 3 large meals and a snack, it works better for me (and has for quite some time).

Today's plan.... 3 shakes and leftover Italian chicken for lunch.

I also need to squeeze in a trip to Sam's, nearly out of my protein powder. At 9 scoops/day it goes fast!

I usually don't have snacks since I often have more than I need.
My meals are larger and usually hold me over. I keep Whey Protein at work as well as a bag of nuts if I really need something.

A great start to the day with yogurt, raspberries and Protein Powder and will get in 2 hours of drills/games tonight.

My favorite is Oscar Meyer turkey bacon, fried crispy. It's like jerky with almost no carbs. MMmmmmm.
We take this on planes and camping.

THis week, my snack is a sf pudding cup and 1oz peanuts. They're very good together but add up to about 9ecc - usually too high, but the rest of my meals are low.
Many times I'll have coffee with sf flavoring and 1oz of 1/2n1/2 and some cheese or almonds.

Started my day today with am yoga. It's only 10 min of my time, so I hope to continue it.
My meals are planned and my day is busy, so I should...no I WILL stay on plan.

8am brat wrap, 2hb eggs
11:30am beef roast with rutabaga/carrot/onion
2:30pm sf pudding, 1oz peanuts
5pm 1/2 turkey drumstick, 2oz noodles with parm/butter

Pro: 118.9
Ecc: 38.3
Fat: 83.6
Cal: 1567

I may add some almonds when I get home as I'm usually hungry after working at the cat rescue.

Have a great day everyone!

My favorite snack right now is a small piece of cheese rolled up into a slice of proscuitto ham (X2). Otherwise I just have a small amount of whatever meat is kicking around. I try to always have some leftovers available. I've been doing well at avoiding snacking after dinner, which has been a problem in the past for me. At work I'm like Becca, several small meals vs. two larger ones (b & L), kind of nibble at things when time permits.

B & L: same old, same old
S: salmon
D: lftvr meatballs and salad.

I tend to get into trouble when snacking. I do better focusing on getting enough at my meals. In the past I've done string cheese, peanuts, beef jerky.

B: Sausage/eggs w/ cheese
L: Atkins shake, carbmaster yogurt, string cheese
D: Leftovers (pulled pork, artichoke chicken, or a little of both)

I generally don't have snacks. But if I would I'd follow the Eades recommendations. I'll have something that is half of my protein allowance for a meal and no more than 5 grams of carbs.

Sometimes I'll have a bit of cheese and a couple of olives, or some left over meat. I have found that I'm better off if I don't snack though...

Today I had a protein shake for breakfast, rotisserie chicken and strawberries with cream for lunch and dinner will be on the road so will take a protein shake with me.
