Good morning! Sometimes we can get caught up in the seriousness of life, but we don't lose our sense of humor. I have a pretty good sense of the ridiculous, just not at this hour in the morning!
Breakfast is a protein shake made with almond milk and seasoned with nutmeg for a change. Lunch will be cheese and sausage. Dinner will be beef stew.
Today is Veterans Day in the US. Honor a veteran.
Ottawa

This is our Rememberence Day so most government staff have it off.
I left work early yesterday with quite a flu, aches all over, slight nausea, and coughing.Every cough was major pain in the abs. I went to bed at 7:00 and woke at 8:15 this morning.
I ate much less yesterday and have been craving fruits and veggies. I am down 2 more pounds but likely related to the flu.
Today will be a large Protein shake with the fruit added afterwards so more like a pudding.
Get better Ottawa!!! Sounds yucky!
I finally had a scale drop today! And a big one at that! Woot!
I don't want to adjust my ticker until I know it's going to stick.
Meals are planned today...and just like Carol, my wacky is still waking up
8am brat wrap, 2hb eggs
11:30am lc goulash, 1med cuke
3pm iced coffee, lightNfit yogurt, 30 almonds
7pm tuna melt with steamed red cabbage
Pro: 119.3
Ecc: 42.1
Fat: 100
Cal: 1639
Uh oh...looks like Wacky is awake!!!

Randy--so sorry you are under the weather. Take care of yourself and get better soon.
Ammy --so good to hear you are dropping . I know you are looking forward to changing that ticker. Good for you.
I am going to the grade school to have lunch with one of my great grand sons today. It is "special persons" day so I will go be with him. I doubt very much if I eat anything though, as our school systems only feed carbage --its much cheaper of course. Anyway, I'll probably snack a bit before I go.
Other than that I will probably sew on the quilt I am making and also go for a walk. Tomorrow we have a local trailride planned with two other couples. That will be fun. Next week our Deer Hunting season starts and we won't be able to get out on the trails for a while. Better take advantage of this good weather now !
I think I did BOTH of these!!!!!!!

by Karole- Better take advantage of this good weather now !
Today is wacky due to the nor'easter we're having. When we get this on the coast the wind drives the rain horizontal- usually stays around for 3-4 days. Needless to say, outdoor activity is nil.
Carol
Increased the cals yesterday by adding fat as u suggested- will continue with that plan to see what it does to boulder in the wt loss road.
11-10 Fat = 102 Prot= 121 Ecc= 27 cals= 1630
fitday does these calcs so I guess they are close- no matter, they are a degree of measure to compare daily intakes with.
B- I find myself having a shake everyday with an egg- don't know why but the bod seems to not want solid food in the am
L- small steak and salad
D- pork, sauerkraut, tomato and applesauce
Ammy- love the last cartoon
Monty
Here's another wacky for you.
I love me some jerky, but slim jim just doesn't taste "right" to me...
maybe this explains why??
(still better to buy this at a gas station than a donut though)

(still better to buy this at a gas station than a donut though)You've just confirmed what I already suspected, Amy. At a gas station, I usually opt for nuts. Not honey-roasted, either! :p
Great wackys, by the way. I want some of that coffee! And congrats on the scale reading!

Gas station food. I avoid it completely by paying at the pump and not even going inside. (sometimes it takes drastic measures to resist the temptations in life, this is a mild example) My Mom dragged me into a gourmet chocolate/bakery shop the other day (that also serves gelato :crybaby:).... Victory was mine however as I walked out empty handed!
B & L: the usual suspects
D: pork tenderloin and spaghetti squash
I'll be roasting a chicken up today also to have around for lunches and snacks.
Enjoy the holiday eveyone and remember to spare some thoughts for those who have fought and died for our freedoms, as well as those still fighting.

Carol and the whole gang. No wackiness for me today This is always a solemn day for me. Its a time for me to remember and honor my friends who lost their lives in one of the most under appreciated conflicts in our military's history. My prayers go out to all the families of the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifiice in defense of our lives and freedoms. God bless all those who have given their lives for us!

Karole enjoy the time spent with your grandson. Doy(my wife) and I enjoyed a "grandparents day" at school with our 6 yo granddaughter. We had a wonderful time.

Jilly I deal with the gas station food by buying my gas at one of the full service gas stations in my area. I don't really do it for that control, but rather its a tough job for me to wrestle my wheelchair out of the car to pump my own gas.
Congrats on maintaining control at bake shop.
I dedicate this whole day to our soldiers who were and still are in harms way.

So glad to be back! Had a combination of computer (actually dsl) problems and we are down to the wire for our band review this weekend. I won't miss all the work and stress.
I just love wacky Wednesdays! Thanks so much for the funnies!
Today, I had bacon and eggs for breakfast. Lunch will be a protein shake and dinner will be left over steak and asparagus.

Bill, how right you are. Today, I honor all the brave people in our military, past and present, who have put their lives on the line for our freedom. We can never repay their sacrifice.

I added 1oz of mixed nuts this morning...just was HUNGRY...so I won't have my almonds this afternoon :(
Gotta re-learn that nibbling matters....

I definitely agree, Bill! If not for our troops, life would be much different for all of us! I am with you and the others here who are taking the day to honor them :).

I'll second that! Love seeing you here Shadow since I don't get to see you anywhere else ;)
I didn't get a chance to post this morning as I was in the kitchen dealing with real food for most of my morning (and taxi driver in there too).
The plans were:
Breakfast: Eggs and bacon
Lunch: Steak salad (romaine w/ dressing topped w/ steak)
Snack: Tuna
Dinner: Meat-Week Chili
Now that its' mid afternoon.... I'm feeling horrible, I haven't had solid food for breakfast on a work day in I don't know how long (weekends I do more of a brunch thing, later in the day) and I don't handle it well. After eating the very bland (re: no cheese) eggs I felt bloated and over stuff and have felt that way all day. Did eat my lunch cuz I was actually hungry, but that just seemed to compound the problem. At this point I'm probably going to skip the tuna which will mean probably not enough protein for the day.
I really think I'm going to have to stick with shakes, even if not made the way I'm "used" to during this time. Was trying to tell myself it's just 2 weeks, not so bad, but not if it means feeling like this all day long. :(

Just came back from ceremonies at the VFW. It was very well done, and at the end they awarded some local children for a patriotic essay contest. There was a chili supper, but the Geezer and I didn't stay to eat. Instead, I'm cooking up some pork sausage that is DS's contribution to our freezer.

B-3 sausage patties and a cup of tea
S-Protein shake
L-Ham and cheese sandwich on lc bread
D-Double Whopper w/cheese minus the bun
Had another one a couple of hours later. Really hungry for some reason, but still within my carb limit.
ate supper WAY too late. I had an omelet with 2 pieces of toast. it was more carbs than I had allotted but I was stuck in meetings and just could not get to a place with food.
I will not beat myself up...i did absolutely say NO to the hashbrowns!! i asked for broccoli instead.

Lunch ended up being eaten out, had an omelette with shrimp and goat cheese, no potatoes or toast. :) Dinner was as planned and I roasted up a chicken for lunches for the next couple of days.
I did have a couple of glasses of red wine (a nice Argentinian Malbec :)) with dinner but was still only 33 ecc total for the day.
