Good morning! What have you planned for the last weekend of November? Make sure you plan your meals with care. For me, weekends are not routine and it's easy to get caught hungry with no time to cook. :)

I've got coffee brewing in the kitchen. I usually have it with cream and hazelnut sweetener on Saturday while I read the paper and call it breakfast. Lunch at a nice restaurant with friends in about three hours. Dinner will either be with those same friends (who love to eat out and I'll be with them all afternoon) or a burger at home.

I'm starting to think about making a cauli bake again, which I haven't done in months. Hmm. That will require a shopping trip.

Carol, what is the recipe? Also, I noticed you made beef stew the other day. How did u keep the carbs low?

Got totally shanghied by DW @ lunch yesterday - ate out @ a burger (really big ones) & fries place but amazingly escaped with only 21 ecc. ended the day with 28 ecc, 121 prot. Secret was limiting the fries of course. Dinner turned out to be lettuce and spinach salad with 1 oz of turkey -was still full from lunch. B- had 2 carb only.
Today B- shake with egg
L- chicken salad over lett and tomatoes
D- TBD depends on lunch

Just checking in too. Have had a busy day with the kitchen--very deep cleaning going on there and am too pooped to do extra exercise.

It was a beautiful day here again... hope it was elsewhere too....if any one else is out there....

Morning everybody! I hope all of you have a blessed Sunday according to your religious persuasion.

I had a great Saturday. I met all my daily goals. My daughter stopped by to pick up Doy for some last minute T-day shopping. I got a chance to say 'Hi' to my grandson(he's still a work in progress) :) Our little town of Tyrone's football team beat one of two schools standing in their way of a District Championship. Penn State easily won their game. And I'm starting the day with my favorite breakfast. All in all a great day and a good start to a new day.

Breakfast- Mushroom/Swiss omelet(2 whole eggs, 4 egg whites, 1oz swiss cheese, 1/4c sauted mushrooms), 3/4c strawberries, 2 Esskay turkey bacon, 2c green tea.
46gms protein, 9gms carbs

Lunch- 4oz grilled chicken; broccoli salad(broccoli florets, onion, bacon, pecans, dressed w/mayo, vinegar, Splenda and celery seed); 2c green tea
49gms protein, 8gms carbs.

Supper- Chili Rellenos(ground beef, onion, pepper, chipotle in adobo, water, steak dust, chili powder, garlic, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, 2c green tea.
40gms protein, 11gms carbs.

Everybody have a successful weightloss day.

Hi everyone. I hope it is ok to just jump right in! I haven't been on the board in ages and my weight shows it.

We are having an early T-day dinner with hubbys family today. I'm bringing veggies etc so I can have more than turkey.

Monty, here's the original recipe (http://drseades.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6679) and I do it differently every time. You can use any type of ground meat and seasonings. I've even done it with other vegetables besides cauliflower. I bake it in a rectangular cake/casserole pan and freeze squares of it for quick lunches. I figure the carbs and protein by measuring what goes into it and dividing by the number of squares.

Beef stew becomes low carb when I don't put the potatoes in. Easy on the carrots, too. I thicken it with xanthan gum (powdered) very lightly and stirred in quickly. Easy to get lumps. Usually I just skip it.

Hi everyone. I hope it is ok to just jump right in!
Hi, Mikki! You betcha! I'm glad you're back. We're working towards the holidays, as we usually do this time of year. Strength in numbers! Sounds like you've got your TG planned well.

Amy, I hope you've at least got today off! :jawDrop: I'm looking forward to next weekend too.

Hi to everybody else, too! I was gone most of the day yesterday, but my food was on-plan. Lunch was a chorizo frittata without toast or potatoes. Dinner was a slice of ham, one of roast beef and a piece of chicken from a buffet. The fellow across the table from me had something on his plate that looked like liver pate, and I was going to go back for some of it until he told me it was chocolate mousse! :p Wear your glasses, Carol...

Karole, the weather is absolutely beautiful here, too! Gettin' chilly, though. Frost on the pumpkins this morning.

can'
t even remember yesterday.

today was good. Have a ham baking for dinner.

Spent over an hour outdoors, doing something I never do this early - putting up Christmas lights :D!

Turned them on once for a quick look at dusk - we got new ones this year - and now I can't wait until Friday - my self-imposed start of Christmas holiday season - to turn them on officially. They are beautiful. DH picked them out ... the colors are gorgeous with every 6th one or so this beautiful medium purple ... they almost remind me of medium dark Craypas colors.

My thighs and bum ache from walking yesterday. So that is good, too:D

My weekend away was definitely challenging...:o Could have been worse, could have been better. One lesson learned on being prepared, take splenda with you in your purse or pocket when attending large buffet dinners, there may not be any sugar substitutes! :peeved: That was the bad part, I did fine on the actual food, even skipped the perogies. Had a bit of a sugar-free chocolate binge today though.

Anyway tomorrow is the start of a new week and I will get back to being focused on eating right and getting to the gym.

My thighs and bum ache from walking yesterday. So that is good, too:DBetter go tell Shadow, Agnes! That would make her happy! ;)

One lesson learned on being prepared, take splenda with you in your purse or pocket when attending large buffet dinners, there may not be any sugar substitutes! :peeved: You can make a dessert of sorts with cottage cheese, splenda and cinnamon. I do that in diners when the sub the cottage cheese for a starchy side.

Glad you're back on track now, Jilly! :)
